There was a recent discussion here and Helen mentioned the risk of e-mailing and how someone could be a friend today and not tomorrow. Previous to that one poster had put her e-mail address on the board and then threw a tantrum over it and Profe warned of the danger of e-mailing one another on a chat board. I commented then how I had done it five years ago and nothing bad had happened
Back then I never discussed politics and barely knew anyone that posted at the RT and I was fairly trusting. Some of the e-mails were assisting with auctions and I remember helping one lady identify jewelry. With all the events in my life since I had forgotten most of it. Little did I know that all this time later if I did not align myself with this one person, with his beliefs and with his other chat board friends that I risked the exposure of my e-mails and possibly my ebay and personal information because I've expressed opinions that differ from his or his friends. Not only did he blackmail me and threaten to expose the e-mails from five years back, he said he'd do it at another place where I don't even know the participants.
For my own peace of mind I have decided to abandon my main ebay accounts and Vendio accounts I have used for buying and selling so part of my income is not at risk from possible auction interference. I will move on from this but let this be a warning to all who are presently e-mailing others. They may seem friendly now but down the road you run the risk that this exact thing may happen to you.

I'll speak about my actions and re-actions.
I am the one who posted my email address....for a short period of time - then I edited it out...so that another poster could make contact with me. MY CHOICE.
IMO, this is NO different than all those who HAVE had their email addresses [usually using mail boxes that aren't their 'regular, actual ISP addresses'] attached to their userids here. Some choose not to...fine...some do. It's their choice.
The "tantrum" kiara mentions was ONLY because logansdad started THREATENING to send his gay garbage to my email address....AS HE HAD DONE TO TO OTHER POSTERS HERE in the past. So....I was angry and WARNED him he'd better NOT do the same to me.
Of course some here started their garbage that since I had make it public then he had EVERY right to use it.
My position was he didn't...and he'd better not EVER pull that crap with me....or there would be consequences.
That's MY side of the story.....of course kiara usually takes the side of those who are vile, vulgar etc...and defends them. Keeps the nonsense going...which she LOVES as a DRAMA QUEEN.

Linda_K, I used the example of you putting your e-mail on the board and the results and Profe's warning about the foolishness of doing so to illustrate the position that I now find myself in.
We all come to our own conclusions based on the credibility of others. The same person that blackmailed me is also the same person that claimed Logansdad sent him porn which Logansdad has denied doing.
This person threatened me on a public board and I have made my decision as to the best way to handle things for my own peace of mind. As I said, I am taking this lesson to heart and moving on but I am warning others of the dangers of e-mailing anyone on a chat board.
I realize you may not approve of my choice of how I've handled this but it's my income that may be jeopardized and not your problem to deal with. Let's just leave it at that.
Helen must feel good that her opinion is so important for you and classic. I guess her ability to prove other people from your side wrong on a regular basis has won respect from you and classic and rightly so. I also agree with what Helen's political views are. On a personal basic I have no opinion of Helen one way or the other.
Your and classic's old new-con trick of trying to divide and conquer does not work any longer. The American people have woke-up and gotten smart to new-con tricks. Didn't you learn that in November? You need to come up with something new and more challenging.
One thing about stone I know for sure is I don't have to start a boycott post about him. Take a look at your posts and replies. Don't you get it???

Linda_K, this is not your problem. I take full responsibility for being too trusting and for kidding someone on a chat board and I bear the consequences.
I do not want this threat of possible auction ID exposure hanging over my head in the future if I ever step out of line here or form an opinion that sets this person off so I'm announcing that there will be no further activity on those ebay accounts.
I'm certainly not playing victim because I already said I've learned my lesson and made my choices and am moving on.
It's actually none of your business how I choose to handle it and it's not your decision to make so you have no reason to be upset over it.

Thank you Linda, that is exactly correct that Kiara started all of this with her insinuations behind my use of different id's at OTHER boards.
Funny though that I was able to take certain aspects of her accusation along with just a little remembered knowledge of her past and turn it on her, to my advantage and I was able to manipulate her into doing something drastic as a result.
Truth is Kiara, that you never really did ever tell me what your user id was before the one that you are using now but you obviously cannot remember that you never told me that little piece of information. What you did tell me, as I remember it was that you had changed your id to your present one because of continued conflicts with a poster known as Yeager, saying that you didn't trust him/her to not mess with
your auctions but you never told me what your user id was before the change. Also it was you that first initiated the email contact with me, five years ago, to discuss Yeager's behaviour towards Jack, yours and my postings in those crazy threads in the EO.

My AW/Vendio ID had already been changed the year before Yeager's posts at the end of Jack's thread on the Outlook. Yeager did not think the thread belonged on the Outlook boards and wanted it moved. Changing my ID had absolutely nothing to do with my previous postings with Yeager. In fact we have posted several times here at the RT with no problems. I like him and I sometimes have missed his posts.
Changing my AW/Vendio ID was not over an issue with any poster. General advice at that time was to keep board and ebay IDs apart because of issues that some had over expressing opinions about auctions on the boards. It was before the mass exodus that I changed it, Jack's thread was the year afterwards.
When it comes to my business and personal info, I take threats seriously and my decision has been made. I'm content and moving on and I'm sorry if no one else can.

I didn't see it as a 'threat' of ANY kind. Rather an offer to BACK UP with proof, what was being discussed.
Some just can't stand having the truth pointed out to them. Such a shame....especially when they, people like kiara, have NO reservations about FALSELY accusing or FALSELY implying anything she feels like about others....again with NO PROOF.
Just appears to me to be another of her 'double standards'.

Linda_K, take into account that I've helped numerous people over the years with their auctions and some have even trusted me with their passwords and not once have I ever betrayed a single one of them and I never will.
Think of how many boards both of you have been booted from and the number of IDs that Piinthesky has had over time. His previous IDs are known in other places besides here and I did not mention them here and I have other information from his e-mails that I have never ever disclosed here. Think back to how he has treated women here and at Otwa and the names he's called them.
