I wonder if this thread has caused some of the auctions to end? They didnt seem to end before I psoted this thread. I was just asking about where to get them, didnt even know some were fake. Hmmm...

Actualy, both of those are true. At the time I originated the thread I was seeking a source, later on that night I got one. Sorry for the confusion

My question to ED123, would be - why would you or anyone want to get/sell product in such an obviously overly glutted market?
Regarding Ginsu Knives, I have no idea what type I purchased, but I do know we have been using them a few weeks, and they are GREAT, and no problem coming through the dishwasher.

Yeah, but I think some of the fakes are also of good quality. Only one of the major ginsu distributors distributes those fake rusty...anyone know which fakes are realistic more?

For the person who asked if Ginsu knives are worth they price, I'd say so. They are pretty good knives.
However, I like Cutco knives a LOT better. If anyone knows a good, reasonably-priced source for Cutco, I'd love to know about it. I have two young-adult sons who keep forgetting to replace my steak knives and they cost a pretty penny each to replace (last one I got on eBay was $25).
