If you are in the same area as this guy, perhaps you should file a small claims suit ASAP. Be sure to include in your claim all costs associated with the filing of your claim. Perhaps being served with a lawsuit by a constable will be just the kick in the seat of the pants this guy needs to spur him into action.
I once had an unresponsive seller that did not ship my item after receiving my payment (this was a small ticket item, too). After many emails and many chances and threats of filing internet & mail fraud claims I finally told him that my husband's friend'd dad was a retired lawyer in the same city as him (which was true) and that he would be filing a small claim on my behalf. Whaddaya know, the seller FED EXED my item to me!
I think that Alien is relying on the fact that most of the bidders still have hopes of receiving their computer---just look at all the posts---everyone so far has said that they still would rather have their system than a refund.

I just finished this whole thread - it took quite a while.
First, you people who have been victims to this scam need to wake up, smell the coffee and listen to Pocono and the others. IF YOU WILL TAKE ACTION THEN SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN.
Posting your names to this board isn't the 'action' that is required. File for refunds, alert the proper authorities...get off your hands and use your heads!
Second, Pocono you are indeed to be applauded and I thank my lucky stars that there are people like you on A.W.
Lastly, has anyone got any information regarding what is happening 'legally' to these cretins? My small mind can't comprehend that they are still up and running under a different name again...and again...

The new account as well as the contents of this thread have all been forwarded to the eBay fraud investigations team.
(note I did not say safeharbor)
I would hope they put this matter to a rest once and for all.
The only additional data I would like to have
to aid in their investigation would be header and IP information from any email that any of us may have received from officePC, AlienD and the other suspected eBay accounts.
Thanks
Kevin

After reading most of the posts here I would like to add my two cents. Fortunately I DID NOT purchase a computer from Alien Distribution. It sounds to me like AD started out wanting to be legit, spent the money as it came in, tried to get away with something, realized the Feds were gonna come knocking, and is now trying to clean up this whole mess before he gets a new address - a Federal Prison!
Many of the people who have won the auctions merely want their computers. I certainly hope AD comes thru for all of you.

Thank you for those words Nanker, you are very kind.
I am getting little help from the legal authorities myself, as I was not a "direct" victim of this fraud, but I AM persistant
I have however spent many, many, hours on the phone with various "other" people, such as the mail centers, the producers of 20/20 and Dateline, a reporter at the Newark Star-Ledger, and LA Times, and a very interested local assemblyman.
People are just NOT filing the complaints in numbers needed to make these authorities look twice. The victims for some reason believe that they will all get their systems, but do not realize that all it will take is for a small show of effort on his part, and for him to ship a few token items, and then claim bankrupcy when all their money are gone or hidden.
The time line for some people to file complaints is already past. (90 days for some organizations)
This thread was started a long time back, and people were warned then, but are STILL not filing complaints.
I am sadend that this scheme is succeeding, and as much as I and others are trying to get the good folks here to listen, some just aren't.
PLEASE! For your own good...
"DON'T BE FOOLED AGAIN" !!!
FILE - FILE - FILE.
File Mail Fraud Charges
Call the State Atty. General where you sent payment.
Call the Better Business Bureau
File with the Online Fraud organizations.
Call the local police in HIS town.
Call the local newspapers in your town and his.
Notify eBay .
Notify your Credit Card companies.
Notify your banks.
Notify PayPal, etc.
Chargeback your payments.
DON'T WAIT TIL IT'S TOO LATE!
We can stop him from robbing others as well if we work at this.
I listened in horror when my elderly parents told me that they were swindled out of their entire retirment a few years back, and it just turns my stomach when I see others getting scammed.
I don't want to see that happen to all of you.
I WON'T let that happen to you if I can do anything to help it.
I despise fraud, and I will shout it from the tops of every roof if I need to...

Pocono,
Please email me. There is a person I know who may be able to provide you with some advice and assistance in getting the proper authorities more involved.

To everyone reading this to keep updated on our situation, Pocono is absolutely right!!!
Up to this point I too have been sitting back and reading these entries as well as all of the information which has been sent to me via Email and still hoping that I might recieve my computer or that some legal action may be taken. But up to now I have not acted on it. I am making the calls today!
For me Pocono makes a very effective point. If we don't come out in numbers, and I mean everybody, the authorities will never take this seriously which means that we won't have much support from them.
How much was your $500 dollars worth to you?
Is it worth 10 minutes of your time to contact the references that have been sent to you about our situation?? Mine was!!
I have seen the light and I hope that ALL of you will see it as well and make some noise with me. We need numbers to make this work for us, and each of you is one of those numbers. If our recent election fiasco has taught us anything, it's that numbers count, and right now, we all need your voice to count too!!!!
FILE FILE FILE FILE FILE
And do it TODAY!!

i just file for mail fraud at usps.com. i am stupid for waiting this long. what other websites can i file at any info would be great. also i live in oakland, MI i sent my money to D.W in detroit. anything i should do? i am only 17.
I am going to do some more footwork in the Everett area soon. I am going to speak with some of the 'authorities' in the area and see what I can do here. It is time to start acting!! I am one of the later auctions on ebay thus my 60 days are not up but I will start organizing some actions here in the Everett area as best as I am able and have time for. Perhaps filing a small claims suit is an idea as mentioned above.

One more in the count. My auction ends in 892 and is not posted on the site. It ended 11/16. I know now not to give a complete number, and to anyone else your message gets booted if you do. I am sure this has happened to many messages. If any one wants to contact me, I am ANGRY. I am with the group that is ready to take action. X me in!!I made my claim today! I have found P. Pal a little harder to get a refund, which most of us are doing. Your credit card company will be easier to deal with. I know I have not waited as long as most of you, and who has a clue who to believe. In my book the majority rules. Good luck to all those that wait, I am not a waiter. I am taking action!

Alien, keep us informed. Your lack of responses on this board leaves us to suspecting the worst, and ultimately will leave your business in the worst condition it can be. When I come here and see you haven't responded, I am all the more compelled to begin my court dealings early. Unlike you, it seems, I do not make empty promises. I'm still waiting for your email confirming that you're not blowing me off.
Good luck with this.

I was a bidder in the auction ending with 062. My initials are C.S., and I want my computer!!! I am also ready to take action. Bidders that are taking action in numbers, put me on the list. Email me the info. My email is [email protected]. I've filed a fraud complaint on eBay and its been over 60 days, and eBAy hasn't contacted me. I'm also in the process of filing mail fraud. I am definitely interested in taking any and all necessary action.

Alien,
The order status page, says order status as Warehouse for all orders, could you please define warehouse.
Does warehouse mean the unit is at Alien Distribution’s warehouse ready to ship? Or that the unit is at Alien’s warehouse in pieces waiting to be assembled, or does it mean that all the parts are still at the suppliers warehouse because this is all a sham… If you are buying the computers from Ampxxxx (I think you will know the name, they are in CA) how long of a wait did they tell you, the sales man I spoke with told me a week or two yet, and I hope you are on the top of the list. If I don't get my computer before the CC Company gets my money back, I think I will order one from them, for $152.00.
Anyone have a good source for parts.
Can you tell me the internet address of the CA company that sells these computers. As far as memory goes, there's a great online merchant who sells quality memory for about 1/2 the regular price. There are other reputable online businesses that provide HDDs and CPUs.

I thank everyone that is e-mailing me asking about buying computer systems, but plesae understand that I cannot in good conscience accept any of your requests.
I got involved in this situation for many reasons, and selling PCs is not one of them.
I beleive in karma, and integrity, and honesty, and as much as I would love to help you out, and as much as I would love to sell more computers, I must point you in another direction. I hope you understand.
I would suggest that you seek out a local computer builder, with a good track record for customer support. I strongly believe in supporting your local business, which may seem ironic being I sell around the world, but after a situation like this, you should be thinking about maybe handing the seller your money, when he hands you your system.
Besides, if you support your local business, they will support you.

Hi Everyone,
I've been traking this thread since its inception as a "winner" in auction 062, my e-mail is [email protected] if anyone wishes to direct comments at me, I have no problem with posting my e-mail address.
I definately support the exchange of communication with my biggest complaint being its one sidedness (not a real word, I know). It would seem that pretty much every winner in the first two auctions has a computer in their hands, even if they were all late. All the complaints listed here are valid, yet Alien has failed to directly address any single complaint, instead treating the group as a whole.
Do I believe his goal was to scam money? No. He (they) got in over their heads.
$500 isn't all that much money, which is the reason I've been so apathetic towards this situation so far. I also prefer to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, though in this case I seem to have been mistaken. However, there is a larger principle at work here, and I intend to do my part in making sure that all winners are appropriately compensated.
If those who have already filed charges could please send me URL's and addresses of who to file with, I would greatly appreciate it.
Alien: I just want my computer. I don't know if your last post was the real deal, but in case it is, my initials are BS, my ebay name is newspaper_man, and the auction ended in 062. A complete lack of communication over the last several weeks has left me with no alternative then to begin the process of filing fraud complaints and/or charges where appropriate. I will of course amend and/or drop those those allegations where appropriate if the situation changes.
