Perhaps you can ship via UPS.
It might save you some $$$$$.
I ship all of my heavy stuff via UPS to save me some $$$.
Just a thought so you are not out that much.
But what you are doing now is correct. You quoted a shipping price and you should stick by it. You said yourself you have eaten alot of shipping cost, so this should tell you that you need to raise your shipping cost so that this doesn't happen again.
