Don't waste the time with Ebay asking to remove negative feedback. I work for a company posting auctions as well as 2 other girls and the owners son. The owners son, had a falling out with one of his customers who claims he has friends in high places on ebay, and would cause lots of problems for him. Well he went and bid on mine and my other co-workers auctions( thinking we were the owners son under different user ids), not intending to buy anything, he bid only for the sole purpose of leaving negative feedback, so much, that he posted it within 2-4 hours after auction ended, and what did ebay say? That it could not be removed! go figure. We did forward his threatening letters of what he intended, which were just awful the things he said. But the fact that he left negative feedback right after closing was a sure giveaway. Also when we replied to his negative feedback he replied right back and said we signed our winning confirmations and letters to him 666. Hes a freak with like 3 or 4 id's and ebay continues to let him roam the area causing havoc, but won't take our negative feedback from him off.

Here is what this jerk's feedback looks like that I left him:
Complaint: He bids, he wins, he threatens, he harrasses, & after all that he DOESN'T PAY!!
Response: I offered to pay immediately by paypal, but she insisted on cash.ck, then ripped
Follow-up: I don't take Paypal or Cks! Said he paid w/MO but REFUSED to trace it - SCAMMER!
I left the NEG and the FOLLOW-up comments and that was on 1/21, and I thought it was over.
Well, I just received an email from this moron, here's all it said:
You are a SCAMMER!
I just had to laugh. I never responded to the neg he left me - so he's probably furious that I can leave another comment on his feedback and he can't leave another comment on mine because I never responded to it to begin with!

eBay knows the law very well in this matter. They are not vulnerable, and they know it; hollow threats wouldn't seem productive.
Ebay explains what to do about libel: get an injunction from a real court, and they'll remove the feedback. In otherwords, eBay isn't going to make any determination regarding what may or may not constitute libel.
Threaten ebay that you will dispute your ebay fees on your CC if your neg isn't removed. Tell them the situation and tell them you won't stand for such shoddy service. I got a neg removed once using that method

Oh, my! I just had a very evil thought **he he he**
This guy is now SELLING something (only 1 item) and there's a buy now price of $350.00!
I should do a BUY NOW under one of my other ID's, and ask him every day "did you send it yet? did you send it yet? Well, did ya? did ya? did ya??" LOL!
Then NEG him after a month for not sending the item before receiving my payment!!!!!!!!! LOL!
