I join Pixiamom in saying I support Obama for similar reasons (by a narrow margin over Hillary.)I think he stands a better chance against the Republican candidate than Hillary, and that is important to me. If Hillary got the nomination, I would vote for her as I think she could do a good job. But as Pixia said, Obama has less baggage, is fresh and relatively unjaded. There is also something to be said for his charismatic personality, which could get him additional votes. There are too many people who hate Hillary unreasonably, I think, and that worries me.

Duhsquirrel, """So you're all agreed. He is clueless, has no plans, but looks real pretty and is a snappy dresser.
You're going to drive Helen crazy with that kind of talk."""
Uh, where exactly did you arrive at that repug conclusion.

I don't need 3 reasons - I just need one:
Is this country better off now than it was back in 2000 when the keys to the White House were turned over to the Republican administration?
NO! It is not better and is, in fact a whole lot worse, both on the Domestic and International stages.
I support a candidate who will represent change. I support a candidate who can best put an end to this madness and defeat whoever the Republican nominee is.
Clinton and Obama have very similar platforms. I would be ok with either one as candidate. I think Obama can beat McCain. He got my vote.
