"I'm sure one of them is going to win." I hope you're right, McJane. I think it's going to be a close race. Although I don't see McCain as sleazy as Bush, I would hate to see another election debacle where the republican candidate lost the popular vote, in effect, lost the electoral vote and called in political favors to win the election.

Curious, do you have an example of this ever happening?

Liberals always tout the sanctity of law except when it is inconvenient for them. If the law says a mis-punched ballot is void, you do not revert to "this is XX country, this OBVIOUSLY must be a vote for XX". To make everybody happy they even created a bi-partisan committee to determine the degree of "mis-punch", LOL.
The popular vote was 51% vs 49%. As to "political favors", it is impossible for a normal intellect to see how that would apply to a situation where a State Attorney General is required BY LAW to certify a vote (which had been counted numerous times) by such and such a date and did as required.

Squirrel is still having problems quoting percentages. 2000 Popular Vote (nationwide): Bush 47.87% Gore 48.38%. Bush was a lot more popular then than he is now.

Squirrels are especially skilled in the side step. I've watched for years their shameless efforts to recover from such bloopers with a dodge, side step and quick change of direction.
That skill is facilitated by their most well developed lobe. The fact that other lobes are less functional should not be held against the poor little guys. They are all doing the best that they can with what they have to work with.

I had forgotten that the 2 Dem primaries that were moved up didn't count. If you add those 2 states Clinton is ahead of Obama. She has also carried all of the important electoral states except Obama's Illinois.
Pretty hilarious that the wackos are asking HER to stand down for the good of the party! And while sampling indicates a significant minority of people pledged to either candidate will vote for McCain if their pick is not chosen, the percentage is higher with Clinton. A large percentage of Catholics supporting Clinton say they will do the same.
And of course, Obama will be doing damage control on more of his staffers and supporters pretty soon.

thats what they said now-that they are going to stay home if their man/woman does not get nominated, but you know the precint captains will be ringing their door bells.
I used to live in Chicago,I know all about the precint captains.
What did Ron Brown like to say-The Machine !
Roll out the Machine and get thy votes!
BTW,Hilary is also from Illinois!

It's really quite humorous and revealing how Republican sheep are being led to defend and support a Democratic candidate that they used to call liberal, their most infamous perjorative.
They support Hillary because they fear defeat by the more formidable opposition of Obama.
Put Squirrel down in that category.
