Hi again, mauimoods

As I understand it, you and I received the very same e-mail the first time. You responded to yours by asking them to cancel your PS contract.

I responded telling them that I realized that I hadn't been doing my quota and I went on to address a few other issues that were bothering me.

So I got the 2nd letter that I posted here and your second letter was to say that your PS contract was cancelled at your request.

I won't ask them to cancel my PS contract--I will wait 30 days (26 now?) and see how far they kick me.

Well, they couldve said "let us help you stay a PS by...yadda yadda", but noooooooo....they kicked me to the curb and didnt let ME be all indignant and do the final kickin' with my final "AND FURTHERMORE" (which is another thing my mom does that makes me bugshit).

toungue is firmly planted in cheek

One of the voices members in my group forwarded this thread to the PTB about a week ago.

During our most recent call with the folks at eBay, we also talked about the letter that went out to Power Sellers recently.

It was noted that eBay could have and should have done a better job of kindly reminding power sellers about the critirion for maintaining power seller status (it's actually been in place all along, but eBay had not cleaned up the program in several months) AND that the 30 day limitation to regain the Power Seller critiron, in retrospect, does seem a bit short.

I have no idea if the second (kinder) letter was a result of the reception of the first letter or not, but suspect that the folks at eBay are trying to get serious about maintaining a Power Seller program that IS indicative of the critirion set in place when it was originally rolled out. I believe that future improvements to the Power Seller program will further enhance it's attraction for sellers wishing to meet personal sales goals and hope that eBay is working toward providing some real incentives to make being a Power Seller into something attractive and meaningful.

If I remember kerreckly, I said in my response "sales are not so slick, and Im having a problem keeping them up". Instead of getting "gee, what can we do to help", I got the "you have been removed per your request and dont let the door kick ya in the a$$ on the way out".

tongue still there in cheek

I just refreshed my memory. Guess I couldve been alittle nicer myself. But, alas, tis done. I think I will live without being a PS

I think I definitely would have been more insulted by the "See Ya, Bye, Bye" letter Maui got after quitting than the initial "Hey, You Ain't Makin Us No Money - fix it or beat it!" PS reminder letter.

Kind of makes the first letter a moot point. They never really cared about keeping you in the first place, right? If they had, the rep who removed your membership would have busted butt to find out why Maui was having problems selling...maybe get a little feedback from her. Just gives me the impression ebay REALLY doesn't care...

Sorry, Mauimoods. I hope they haven't managed to make you feel too unappreciated with their insensitive replies.

I just became a "POWER SELLER" last week. I put the logo in a couple of my listings. I haven't figured what the benefits are. Whenever I have had a problem with Ebay, I remind them that they make alot of $$$$$ off of me (mostly in fees!). I get a response right away!
