I almost always ship next business day as I pass the post office on my way to work. I suppose if I were not doing so, I'd change my routine to Mon Wed and Fri.

As a seller with quick payer I try to ship ASAP. Sometimes this means I go to the post office immediately. I usualyy try to get it out the next day but have on occasion taken three days. Last month I let and item go 30 days (paid by personal check).
BIN is currently a bug n my butt. I just yesterday did this at 8:30 am. Billpoint did not process the transaction until that evening and the seller says he has received notification the sale is on hold 'til it clears and he will ship Feb 5th. I had wanted the item for the weekend. I will be starting a thred on this with more details.
I think that many ebay sellers are getting very inconsiderate. They are either inconsiderate small volume people or too big high volume people.
The thing i hate the most is those that do not respond to emails well. I will send and email to a seller with three specific questions and receive a two line reply stating that the item is on its way and I will be happy with it. I alway am sure to answer all questions in detail. And if I delay shipping I tell them why. Including if I have just been too lazy to go to the post office. I want to be honest and straight-forward.

I try to ship the same day if possible when I receive a BillPoint/Pay Pal/Money Order. Checks are held for ten business days. Most bidders understand this but once in a while I will get an email from someone threating to sue!
I share a warehouse and UPS shipping with another company. My packages are wrapped/boxed for me. For overseas items I use USPS or Bax Global.

I try to ship 24-48 hours after payment received, if not sooner. Since there is a post office between work and home, when I go home from lunch I process & pack any items for payments that arrived in the mail that day, leave my feedback and drop them at the post office on my way back to work.
Paypal payments get shipped usually the next day. If I pack them the night before, I either take them with me on my way back to work from lunch, or have my fiance take them to the post office the next morning if its only one,and I'm not expecting any payments.
How many items do you list a week?
I was listing about 70 items a week on Thursdays for 10-day auctions, and relisting the next Thursday after they close. With the new 10-day surcharge, I haven't set a new schedule yet.
What type of items are you listing?
Pokemon trading cards, Pokemon plush, and handmade doll clothes.
Do you have templates for your items that you use over and over again or do you have to write up each auction description each time (ie..is everything different and requires a new description)?
I use Mister Lister, have all the info saved in files, so I just open the file, tweak anything that needs tweaked, and upload it. Have also discovered www.vrane.com to handle my relisting functions for me - HUGE time saver.
What kind of packing do you do...do you just pop the item into a envelope or do you have to take 10 or 15 minutes for each item?
Trading cards are put into plastic sleeves. if single cards - into a top loader. Some of my 72-card sets, I put into plastic bags in groups of 36.
Small groups of trading cards go in normal envelopes, larger groups of cards and doll clothes go in bubble mailers of various sizes. Occasionally use Priority mail video boxes if enough cards are purchased. Pokemon plush go in boxes, priority mail for multiple plushes.
How many items do you ship each week?
Varies by how successful my auctions are. Right before Xmas, I shipped about 30-40 packages in about a week's time... my most hectic week since joining ebay! I'll have that same thing going in February based on my auction activity in january..
Do you have to spend a lot of time each week acquiring your merchandise or do you just contact your supplier?
I have 85% of my merchandise already in hand - I restock only the plushes as needed when I'm running low of a particular one.

I send notification to my buyers when their payment is received. In this notification I state that "your package will be shipped on the first business day" and I stick to it. I've had alot of return business because of this. They actually tell me that one of the reasons they come back to me is my quick emails and shipping.

Good question...I ship 6 days a week. My pet peeve..I win a bid , use Pay Pal, pay for Priority Mail but the Seller doesnt ship for another week or so! Happens a lot more than it used to. I am going to start leaving negatives.
