Corporate Restructuring Continues
CMGI and certain of its majority-owned operating companies, such as Engage and AltaVista, continue to announce corporate restructuring initiatives, including business unit realignments, divestitures and workforce reductions. Among recent actions, CMGI today announced its decision to discontinue services provided by ExchangePath, and that it is currently exploring strategic alternatives for the business.

While I never used ExchangePath I'm sorry to see them close.
1st I hate to see anyone lose their job.
2nd Competition is what keeps the world on an even keel.
I think ExchangePath started out too late, and they probably knew that charging fees (which they were going to have to do eventually) would have been most unwelcomed. Some people believe all internet services should be free.

I wasn't intending to dance on the employee's bad fortune. It sucks, as I think almost all of us have worked for a company and either directly or indirectly been affected by a cutting of jobs.
It's just that with so many of these problems with online payment places, and with the huge amount of problems ExchangePath and PayPal have, especially with the very little "real" seller protection, I was VERY happy to see them go.
If PayPal went, then the buyers would finially realize that something is wrong with these places and that they are not really good to use for non-acquantance payment exchanges.
