I was expecting there to be some financial scandal that broke by now, or some shock-horror would have been revealed about her oh-so-moral all-American family.
Her rationale for resigning just seems so feeble.
What's the scoop?

Seriously, the only reasons I can come up with are either she made an incredibly ill advised decision and plans to push for the presidency, or she's realized she's not really cut out for all this intellectual heavy lifting (imagine her facing Obama in a debate, even WITH 4 years to train) and has decided to capitalize on her fame by letting people give her big gobs of moola for spouting off. She can pay some hack to write her op-eds and speeches for her with all the words in a row in sentences that make sense and still make a killing.
I'm betting it's the latter. More power to her. Soak the bubbas who love her for all they're worth.

Perhaps it may for personal reasons. She is going to Argentina to meet up with David Letterman. They are an item nowadays.

Hiking the Appalachian Trail with Letterman eh? Maybe she'd better stop off at the C Street house and get right with Jeezus first.

I'm still wondering why she was in such a big hurry to resign that she was hyperventilating when she announced it. It didn't look planned to me.
I suspect she now wants to grab as much money as she can and use it to plant more seeds of hate like she started doing during the campaign.

Poor Sarah, over her head in everything but dragging fishing nets and shopping on someone else's money...and THAT is what the Republicans have to offer...

What are your thoughts on the latest rumor about the Palins getting a divorce?

Sarah Palin won't be single anytime soon.
The former Alaska Gov. is denying two Alaskan bloggers' reports that she and her husband Todd are divorcing. The bloggers claimed they were splitting after infidelities on both sides.
"Yet again, some so-called journalists have decided to make up a story. There is no truth to the recent 'story' (and story is the correct term for this type of fiction) that the Palins are divorcing," spokeswoman Meg Stapleton posted on Palin's Facebook page Saturday.
"The Palins remain married [and] committed to each other and their family," she said.
Palin's attorney Thomas Van Flein also released a statement slamming the "vicious" rumor.
"I spoke to Sarah and Todd this morning," he said in a press release Saturday. "They are not getting a divorce."

A timely divorce might add another chapter and a few million to her autobiography scheduled for publication next year on Mother's Day.

Was that before or after he once again threatened to sue more bloggers, including a kindergarten teacher? It looks as if Palin has a thin skin and doesn't agree with free speech.
I wonder if her attorney plans to sue Juan Cole who compared Palin with Ahmadinejad?
Perhaps the silly old boys with all the guns will get excited at any divorce rumors and they'll send her more money thinking they may have a chance with her now.

The popular interest in Palin is overwhelming evidence of a need for educational reform in America where the average citizen is intellectually unqualified to vote.

I think there is some thruth to the rumors. How many times in the past have politicians denied things only to have them be true.
Palin is snake that enjoys her name in the spotlight and she will do anything to keep her 15 minutes of fame going.

So---------If it is true what the heck do you care? It is no skin off of your back. People get divorced all the time. You read about it in the news everyday. I think there are other things to be debated like--
1. No more taxes if you make less that $200,000. No doubt to be axed.
2. Health Care Bill that wants a panel to discuss if Seniors that get a life threatening illness should live or die.
3. A health Care Bill that is a single payer plan run by the government that every single person gets the same medical care, except the congress, VP and President.
As you see from the above there are much more pressing issues than the Palins (True or False) getting a divorce.

Helen, funding for education seems to be one of the first cuts whenever the economy gets bad.
Palin and her followers show little desire to learn about other countries worldwide and most seem to share a hatred for others who question them or do not follow their beliefs.
Logansdad, I don't really care what Palin does in her personal life as long as she doesn't tell others how to live theirs. She comes across as a hypocrite, a bully and a whiner.
Fruscia, more relevant issues are being discussed, perhaps not here though.

I agree Kiara.
I was discussing logansdad and his obsession of or with the Palins. What people do in their private lives is of no interest to me. What is of interest to me is how we are going to live our lives through the golden years starting from 0-100. What is in store for the United States? This is important for the next generation and generations to come. It is up to the voters now whether Democrat or Republican to vote what is best not what is expected.

Fruscia, I would be hesitant to call it an obsession when Logansdad only made a couple of comments about her. The topic is about Palin.

I'm sorry, but the woman keeps herself in the spotlight. She's in the public eye. What does she expect? Should she be given more privacy than say, Jennifer Aniston or Bad Pitt? She chose this life. She chose to accept the VP nomination. If she can't take the heat of the press or public opinion, she needs to retire from public life. LMHO.

I agree with you on the part that she is a hypocrite. I feel most politcians are in general especially the Republicans.
If she does get a divorce it won't have any impact on me and how I life my life.

Helen - You are so right! I never thought of that having forgotten about her.
I personally couldn't care less whether or not Palin is getting a divorce or staying married. I personally don't care what she's doing just as long as she stays away from the White House (and Ohio, LOL)!
