DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
mballai is a hypocrite and a coward. He's trying to manipulate the discussion on this board so it is to his liking.

It took nearly a week after CC payment to get shipped. That's not how I would do biz. I consider it delayed. It could have been packed well and sent media mail for much less.
Feb 9 end paid within 24 hrs Postmark from PO Feb 16

mballai:
I see you only charge $4 for shipping a book also. You don't state in your auctions how "well" you package or what method you use to ship either. Do your customers get that extra 5¢ worth of handling materials?
Edited to add: Your auctions don't state "$4 shipping AND handling" they only say $4 shipping. How do you ship your books? Media mail? Priority?

Until mballai answers ExecutiveGirls question about his obvious double standard regarding feedback leaving, no one should give even one iota of credibility to anything he says.

mballai - you're saying that it was dropped off at the post office Feb 15th or 16th (assuming you paid by CC the evening of the 9th when auction ended)? If that's the case, then I would have to agree...shipping was delayed.
I wouldn't have a problem if the auction ended Friday evening, and the package was shipped on the following Monday or Tuesday. But to wait longer than that shows a VERY poor sense of customer service.
Thanks for responding mballai...we'll have to agree to disagree about leaving the negative, but I would have to agree with you on being dissatisfied with the seller's shipping timetable.

MrJim and digitalman,
I deleted your posts that quoted from a feedback file. It's information that can now be easily found and would require inviting of buyers/sellers.

mballai,
I know you are upset and feel like you are being beaten up, but the fact is almost everyone is giving you some good advice.
Your comments to ExecutiveGirl are insulting and beyond the boundaries of basic etiquette as required by the CG's and I'm issuing you an informal warning.

Thank you Joice!
Thank you Mballai, apology accepted! I honestly was not trying to give you a hard time to be mean - this is something I've had problems with in the past (being left negs for problems I did not know existed). I think feedback is a very important tool (or weapon in some cases) and I think negative feedbacks should be well thought-out before being left against someone.
So, I guess we will just agree to disagree on this one.

It sounds to me mballai that you had a bad week and took it out on someone without real justification.
You had an obligation as an experienced seller on ebay to contact this seller to at least try and resolve this issue before you left negative feedback.
I don't agree that negative feedback was warranted in this case at all, neutral explaining your problem would have been much better or as I do, don't leave feedback at all if you are not happy with something this minor and email the seller.
Your item was not damaged in any way, you have not lost anything, however this seller may have been using ebay to make some extra money for his family, not as a hobby as it turned out and by putting such harsh feedback for such a small problem could lose him further sales. I'm sorry but I find it hard to find any justification for you to do that in this instance.

I agree the negative was completely unwarranted. Since you sell a lot of religious books, perhaps you may want to peruse the sections on tolerance before you so carefully send them off.

Well I reconsidered my posting after I reread it and edited it out. Then I saw your posting mro.
I didn't delete it because of what you wrote, becuase I did not see it until afterwards.
I still think that this thread should have been locked and that it is sad to come in here looking for helpful advise, but end up finding people bashing someone for posting their own experiances from an eBay transaction.
What I read here tonight is UGLY and NASTY (and yes you have to be a AW member to post here) and I will be canceling my AW account due to AW letting this type of thing continue on and on.

That's a crying shame Brigette, just imagine how the seller who was involved in this transaction feels.
No one forced the originator of this thread to post his comments here.

Maybe the seller was away from their computer today? Did they actually say they declined?
I think they have the right to respond to your comments, and see no reason why it should be locked.
But whatta I know?

I have thought about how the seller might feel, I am not agreeing or disagreeing with what happened. I find that postings here on AW are just getting ugly and nastier as time goes by. I cannot understand why AW lets this type thing continue on.
I cannot find the link to cancel and close out my "AW" account... I guess I have to send them a private e-mail request.
I know that I do not have to come here and read the boards and can continue just to use "AW's" Auction Manger. But I really feel someone let this thread get way out of hand. Most of the postings are personal attacks towards the buyer.
I feel sorry for anyone that is new to "AW" and comes in here and reads this thread. Think of all the positive thoughts they will have. It is ok not to agree or agree with the buyer in this thread. But to lash out at her is just uncalled for. It seems that some posters have built up anger about a negative they must have received at one time in the past and feel it is time to let this "buyer" get a nasty taste of how they felt when when it happened to them.

I feel for you right now I don't know you and I not saying I agree or disagree with what you did. To me that does not matter. But what does matter is all the pay back you have gotten for posting your experiance. I hope that you have brushed it off and that there are many people just like me that have read this thread and just was amazed and how badly it got out of hand.
Keep your chin up...ok?
