luvmy2bears - Thanks! Got it (finally)! Ahhh - I feel so much better getting that last word in, since they LIED big time in their response! They sunk their own ship, though, by admitting in the neg right above mine that they had been out of town. (They tried to say they never got my e-mail, check, or phone call, when in fact, they went to NY for a month!)

Here's some info on cyberstalking & what you can do, what is covered under the law, etc. According to this, you do need to make it clear that you want no further contact from her. You may wish to consult with someone in law enforcement.

I have gotten 6 emails from her now. I only responded to the first. I was very professional and "non-emotional". Since then I have not responded to any more. But they keep coming in. She seems to actually be getting angrier (sp?).

I have sent a removel request along with copies of the emails to safe harbor & timesensitive. No reponse yet.

Thanks for idea to report her to her own ISP. I never thought of that. That will be my next step.

You can block someone's email if need be. The problem is they can always change addresses.

I've never had such a total dimwit. Most of the time they will just shut up and go away especially if you don't respond.

Dobn't bother forwarding your e-mails to Ebay. They won't do a thing. I know, I had the same problem who send many nasty e-mails to me. All forwarded to Ebay and Ebay said they cannot do anything against personal e-mails.

Luvmy2bears--
Sorry to hear that this happened to you. Do you have an answering machine? If so you could screen calls for a few days. if she calls you and says anything bizarre save the tapes.
I know that others suggested writing to safeharbor and her isp and I would even go a step further and add that you might request that both contact her and let her know that her actions will not be tolerated.

I think someone had suggested emailing her one final time with a cc to safeharbor and I personally think that is a good idea.

I also like Kiki's idea about inviting her here. That could be kind of interesting!

What a wacko!

I'd definately be concerned. I've had something similar happen to me, not during an auction, but when I worked for an online gaming site. They even posted my name and address on yahoo message boards saying someone needed to blow my brains out. Received threats for over a year, and still going. I had to move a few wks ago for the 2nd time due to the threats. Anything like this needs to be taken seriously. I strongly urge you to contact the police where she lives and your local police and let them know what is going on.

1) When one of my buyers neg'd me with a couple of pretty blatant lies (about when he sent payment, etc.), I posted copies of his postmarks and check on my 'about me' page. I pixelized his name, address, account number, signature, etc. (everything but the date and amount) so I wouldn't get accused of giving out any personal info. Ebay saw this (after about 2 months) and gave me 24 hours to remove it because it was "personal information on an ebay user." While I disagree that assessment since there was zero personal information involved (is a postmark personal???), I decided to pull the pics. However, if you've ever tried to get into the 'about me' server, you'll know it's a nightmare. Even though I tried to change the HTML on my about me page several hundred times (I kept getting the 'reset by server' error you probably know very well), I couldn't get it done in time... so ebay sent me a "non-compliance" warning and deleted my about me page. Why do I stay with these twits?

2) Feedback is relative. I've never declined bidding on something because the seller had a single negative (out of many positives) from someone who sounded so flaky. I usually dismiss the out-of-place negative and bid anyway (as long as my many other 'determiners' are OK).

I think the negative is the least of her worries. This person sounds really whacko.

Wacko doesn't begin to describe this woman. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I just rec'd this email.
Subject:Your Problems Have Just Begun
This is Mr.EbaySeller and I will warn you ONCE that your activity has been
recorded as well as your connection with anotherebaybuyer(-1), Ebay
investigators have been contacted as will my local and your local Law
Enforcement officials including local Attorneys General and F.B.I. in
reference to wire fraud.
I do not expect any more contact from you nor any attempted negative
feedbacks through fraudulent ebay registrations nor contacts you may have.
Mr.EbaySeller

So this other user, with -1 feedback has bid on a bunch of her auctions. She appearantly thinks that this other user is me using a different ID. She thinks I'm out to give her a bunch of NEGS.

First of all, who would do that??? Certainly not me. Honestly I never even thought of it.

But hey, report away. Contact any law enforcment people you want girly, because I have all of your rude nasty emails, I have your rude feedback. All you have is 2 very nice professional emails from me and one very diplomatic neutral feedback. You go girl....

Geez, I feel like I'm in a soap opera. What a pain in the neck and a waste of my time.

luv

Luvmy2bears, you are dealing with a psychological vampire. I seriously doubt she possesses the intelligence, the inclination or the capacity to cause you any serious problems, but oh, how much space she is taking up in your head rent-free!

What do you want to bet she is a master at finding herself in conflicts?

She sent you another e-mail claiming you bid on her auctions with another name with a -1 rating?? lmao too funny. she sounds like she is very paranoid as well as wacko.

I think kiki's right, invite her to this string It would be highly interesting.

I would invite her, but I am trying to be the bigger person here. After the first email she sent me I have not responded. I haven't even acknowleged her ranting & raving. I'm not going to start now.

Well, I'm off to work. Lets see what I find in my email tonight.

Luv,
Invite her here, I think there are some wise heads who could educate her to the flaws of thinking.
I would definitely call her local police department.
What a nutbar.

The nutbar has become her own worst enemy.

Give her enough rope & she's bound to hang herself...

The things she is allegedly doing is putting her in all kinds of legal jeopardy, it seems.

YIKES!!!!!!!
Safeharbor won't do anything about e-mail harassing? How about writing safe harbor telling them that she is now asking for my contact info and include (once again) her emails. There is no reason for her to get the contact info after the auction transaction is complete. Just curious, if this harassing gets worse (God forbid) could Ebay be at fault for supplying the contact info after the fact that they were e-mailed about this harassment?
Maybe at least e-mail safeharbor again with the last e-mail stating this seller thinks I'm somebody else, can they help straighten things out. Would safeharbor do that?

With the conduct that this seller has, I hope she would get NARU'd soon.
what was her feedback like?
Luv, my heart goes at to you, I hope things get better.

IMO, you need to block her call before it comes in. If you have her info (from when she requested yours), you can find out how to "call block" from the phone book or your local phone company. Her ISP will take care of her e-mails ~ contact them immediately (if you haven't already). Most ISP's are actually quite intimidating when it comes to user's harassing through their services. Yes, talk to local authorities. Most of this cyper-threat stuff is hogwash. But not all of it is. This transaction is making way too much black stuff inside of you. Get a new e-mail, change your address with eBay (I don't think they ever verify that, if I remember correctly?), and, once you have covered yourself, try to move on and forget this wacko jerko alien bogus psychotic (please feel free to add on to the descriptives) freak.
Good Luck and please keep in touch!

luvmy2bears -
From her email address you can find her ISP ... and they usually have an address you can report harassment to.

Send ONE email back to the nutcase, politely informaing her that you do not want any more emails and that further contact will be considered harassment. CC this to support or abuse@ her ISP, including copies of all the threats.

Any further emails should be forwarded directly to her ISP, with a note stating when you asked her to stop, and pointing out how many she has sent since being asked not to send any. That usually results in a suspended account.

If she blows her top and starts bombarding you with rmails, call YOUR ISP's support department and they can block her at the routers so you never see it again.

If you check her out on vrane.com, you can see how she deals with people. Did you see that stuff? sheesh! Although eBay may not be interested in her personal e-mails to you, they are probably interested in how she treats members of the eBay community in general ~ ie her talking about a bidder's illegitimate son in feedback. Sorry but WTF?. Cut and paste the responses and send them to safe harbour ~ no one deserves what she seems to sporadically dish out on impulse as well as her history of threatening e-mails. Best of luck ~ chepi

Everyone,

It has just come to my attention that there is enough information to identify the seller of this auction.

I'm sorry, but I have no choice but to lock this thread. luvmy2bears, if you'd like to invite the seller, I'll be glad to reopen the thread after the obligatory 24 hour period or when the seller indicates s/he is willing to participate in the discussion, whichever comes first.

Pat
