I have mixed feels about BidPay. I signed up for an account last year. I tried to log in and my password didn't work. I wrote to them twice and never heard a word.
As a seller, I have not had any problems.
Once I receive a money order from them but received no email from Bid Pay.

I have been using BidPay for both buying and selling for quite some time and I must say I'm totally happy with them. The only 'problem' I have ever had was I sent 2 money orders for different auctions for the same amount to the same person and they thought it was an oversight on my part so they cancelled one and notified me, we straightened it out along with the correct address (seller gave it to me wrong) and everything went through fine. I never ship anything until I have the payment in my hand, once I have it I make out the labels, pack the item and ship it... that way there is no question as to whether or not I received payment. As for the cost of using BidPay, yes, they do have fees to the buyer and I guess it's up to each individual to decide if you are willing to pay those fees. To go get a money order requires cash and sometimes a large amount of cash is not readily available so it's easier to use your credit card with an online service, you also have to consider weather...I hate the cold and snow so I would rather sit in the comfort of my home and use an online service than bundle up to go out, warm up the truck, drive through heavy traffic in snow, stand in line and then get it all filled out and ready to mail..after all, my time and comfort is worth something to me. There are also a lot of people who can't get out to go get money orders, I'm sure for them these online payment services are a Godsend.

We've been offering BidPay as an option for over a year now but I'm also dropping them.
What's the point in offering them when Billpoint does international payments and it doesn't cost the customer $5.
I'm tired of dealing with companies with lousy customer service or that won't listen to their customers. Most internet companies seem to be run by geeks with no business sense. Wake Up! Customer service should be the #1 concern of any company that wants to stay in business..
