I'm sorry to say, a Tarheel is from North Carolina.
Since I'm New York born and raised, I can't say if she reflects on the entire state.
They're still fighting the war down here. The south is gonna rise again, doncha know.

ExecutiveGirl, having had my share of Froot Loops, I can only say that you have my sympathy.
Well, that's almost all I have to say. I'd also like to add that after two years of selling stuff on Ebay, any buyer who asks to change the terms of the sale immediately sets up a red flag. I've only done it a couple of times where it worked out to everyone's satisfaction. Unfortunately, I've also dealt with people who have turned what should have been simple transactions into major time drains.
My dime-store theory is that this is a reader's and writer's medium that operates on an almost academic system of honor. Unfortunately, a number of immature and unprincipled people have seen it as a fertile area to "graze" for sellers to take advantage of.
I would just about bet money that your latest CarckerBeast has just about worn out her welcome at certain stores in her area.

Hi drivingmetodrink: This buyer has only left 5 Negative feedbacks and I don't see any that say anything about a broken cookie jar. Are you sure it's the same buyer? It definitely sounds just like her, though! Can you tell me what NEG she left you so I can just see for sure that this is the same person we're talking about?
Although it's hard to imagine there would be another lady out there as psychotic as this one....

Oh my EG! I sell clothing sometimes but I'm rethinking it now! Let us know what Ebay says about the feedback extortion!
Earlier in her emails she was talking about needing the clothes to go back to work. Who in their right mind would hire someone with such atrocious spelling and communication skills???
Email on...

EG it has to be her. It hit me the last part of her email address you mentioned early on. I see she has 6 negs. I did not neg her. I got emails from 3 different emails actually. and the 3rd emails is the same ending as the main one I got them from. I see that her 3rd email address she used to email me has left her a pos feedback and is NARU. That ID has only one feedback and that is from her. There is just too much for it NOT to be her. I would hope there are not more like this out there, if they are different. I am looking at her feedback as I type this. I did not know you can see what feedback they left for someone else if they did not also leave some kind of feedback. This happened July 2000. If I am wrong and it is not her. Please forgive my posts. I did not mean to intrude.

drivingmetodrink: You can check the negs & neutrals that someone else received and the negs they left for others with this tool from vrane: http://www.vrane.com/wid.html
That's how I checked what negs she received & left.
It does sound to me like it's the same person.
Lucky us, huh?

OMG... I had read the first few posts of this thread when it was first opened, just read all the way through and I have tears running down my face. 5'2", 34D, big gut and tiny wrists... OMG
EG, DO NOT send this looneytune your address. I think I would simply ignore any further emails from her, put a block on the addresses she's sent from so far, and finish this chapter in your book - btw, I want an autographed copy too !!!!
As I stated in another thread by a clothing seller with a nutjob bidder - I am NOT going to sell clothes on eBay!

Minona - Neg was " Meen seller cookie jar too small for cookies and she refuses to refund money I sent jar bk. My response to my feedback was. Jar returned to me in several pieces. not insured.
Since EG can't see where she left the feedback for me, then it must be her twin I dealt with. OH my the thought gives me chills. Maybe I should have just kept my mouth shut.

drivingmetodrink: I looked up that feedback on her left feedbacks and that one isn't there - but it doesn't mean it wasn't her that you dealt with - because she could have negged you for that from a different ID. I only know of 2 email addresses for her - and only one of those is a registered Ebay ID. It's possible she has a 3rd (or more) ID on ebay. (How she figured out how to set up even one boggles my mind)
Wanna hear something else interesting? 2 weeks ago she was high bidder on a cookie jar.
Frightening, isn't it???

excecutive girl: Picture this, you mail her the business suit she needs for employment. You have done everything possible on your end to be the most accomodating obligatory ebay seller. You catered to her wrists, ears and boobs. 2 weeks later she emails you that after it came back from the cleaners she noticed 2 smalll holes near the bottom kick pleat and how do you intend to handle this. I tell you its cyclical.
you got to get that book started. (lol)

EG,
Your horror stories do more good than you know.
Coming home from work last Monday a truck driver in a hurry to make his last delivery totalled my car. I was at a give way sign waiting to turn left and had just turned to check for traffic coming from a roundabout to my right (I live in the UK and we drive on the left unlike you guys) when he accelerated into the back of me. Knocked me out, broke my sunglasses and pushed my car 40 feet up the road and into the path of oncoming traffic.
Anyway, here I am with whiplash, concussion and unable to drive, use a PC or even climb the stairs. But my husband logs into auctionwatch and looks for your posts and prints 'em off to read to me. I laughed so much it has made me forget for a while that the company owned by the truck driver is refusing to admit liability, or that the new car I was going to take delivery of on March 24th ain't gonna happen now (the totalled car had been accepted for a very generous trade-in).
Please keep posting everyone. I am sick of watching the Paramount Comedy Channel and your humour is keeping me sane!!!
Hope to see y'all soon.

Ascorti,
Interesting thought, but completely as an aside...
Just how DO bidders get invited nowadays, now that email addresses are no longer available?
Sorry to hear about your accident fallen_madonna. Having just had to renew my insurance, I greatly sympathise with the loss of your car, your future car, your no-claims bonus (if you had one) and your future insurance premiums. I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH INSURANCE COSTS!
And also how on earth can the driver not accept responsibility if he went into the back of you? Completely bizarre.

EG - Why you? It's a community service thing! Think what would happen if these wacky bidders did this stuff to some poor seller NOT on these boards and not connected in sympathy to the rest of us! I'm sure some newbies have bagged Ebay due to folks like these! Or there is a small paragraph in their local paper "x found dead in front of monitor due to self inflicted injuries". What if it was their first "sale"? But no - it happens to you! You share these stories with the rest of us - which puts a funny spin on them and lightens the load. We laugh so hard we cry and in turn, don't feel quite so bad when it happens to us. Thanks a bunch!! It's truly appreciated!! P.S. I'm from Florida...

It depends on the seller to do so, or for the seller to either disclose the auction number, within the CGs, so that an AWer can do so.
This is why I am always looking at these 'awful buyer' threads with a jaundiced eye. We only hear one side.

Absolutely! File for those FVF's-and for reason I would select the "bidder refused to follow terms of auction" option.
I'm so glad that she agreed to cancel!

Why not just make the reason..."buyer and seller mutually agreed to cancel auction". That way it isn't a black mark against her. Unless your desire is to get her kicked off ebay?

In lieu of placing a block on her e-mail (she might send you something you need to know about) why don't you return her e-mail, put "Messaage Returned" in the subject line, and a one-line official looking message like "The following message was returned without being read as the addressee no longer accepts e-mail from this address." That way, if she writes something scary, you'll know about it--and, she won't be getting the (obviously much-sought-after) attention she's wanting from you by replying to her e-mails. I would not invite her to this thread. Again--what she wants is more attention. If she thinks she's being ignored, she should quit. And, like one poster said earlier--A neg is NOT the end of the world.

I just received this email from another person who negged this nut. Thought you might find this interesting...
You are working with a nut case. My situation was the reverse - she was the seller. I sent the money and waited and waited and waited. When I finally started trying to status the shipment, she went hard left rudder on me. Told me to stop sending her emails and to stop calling her (I got her number through the "Services" feature of ebay). She kept contending that she had shipped the item. I had refused putting insurance on the item. It was a $60 item and she wanted an additional $8.50 for insurance. She wouldn't reduce the insurance amount so I told her not to insure it. I am convinced that she saw a way to keep the ring and the money.
I finally filed a formal complaint with the Investigations arm of ebay and, lo and behold, the very day that she was informed that she had had a complaint filed against her, the item "came back" to her in the mail (bad address on the envelope - right!) and she shipped it out that same day to the right address. This lady needs to have her ebay priviledges pulled.
File a complaint stating the details of your transactions with Investigations. If enough people do, they will finally take action. I have been successful in getting two or three sellers kicked off. Good luck.
