Lots of great information in this thread, thanks to all, I am continually amazed at all the great stuff I learn on the AW message boards. Does anyone know if there is a piece of software that would automatically create thumbnails from all the jpg's in a directory automatically? I am thinking along the lines of something that would take each picture, make a scaled thumbnail and name them with the same name and perhaps a "t" or other defining character at the end. Also, is there software available that would allow a person to do their own version of www.photopoint.com. Specifically on photopoint you just create a album and ftp your pictures, it automatically makes the thumbnails and creates the gallery, as you slide over each thumbnail in the gallery it shows you the URL which are all pretty much sequential so it is really easy to create your listings, since you can copy the photo URL from the first photo except for the last 3 numbers into a template to use for all your listings and then just add the correct last few digits on the individual listings, saves a ton of time. Unfortunately photopoint.com has very frequent service outtages and does not seem to be customer focused at all, they never seem concerned that their outtages seem to happen at peak end of auction times! Hence I would rather host my photo's on my own site using something along the lines of the photopoint system. If anyone knows of software that can do this please do post!
