It now says it's down due to regularly scheduled maintainence. Does that mean it will be back up 6am Friday?

Fat lot of good that "preventitive maintenance" they performed late last night did.

Of course I had all of my auctions ending at 7:00pm central time. and I had 33 ready to launch at 7:00pm--all now with error messages. What a drag. Think I will switch to Mondays.

Just think of all of the money ebay is losing! I don't even want to know how much I lost!

I spent about five minutes a little while ago trying to place a bid - couldn't get the listing page, then couldn't get the "review your bid" page - finally managed to place it (but was not higher than the current proxy )

Point is - that proves to me that sellers are losing money, even if the site is not TOTALLY down; if it is that hard for someone to bid

Now I can't get anything - nada - they usually manage to keep SOMETHING up, just so they can say it wasn't totally down . . .

Oh CR@P!! Now WHAT??? This was prime time for viewing and bidding before going back to work tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

Of course everyone is scruwed for their fees or lower winning bids, except those that close during the hard outage...what a BUNCH-O-CR@P!!!

Have you been to BidVille? Things would be better there if more bidders/sellers went there...

The search hasn't been working right all day and has been very sporatic when it did (does).

What I want to know is as the site has been 'intermittently' unavailable since 16.51 which is now more than 3 hours, are they going to extend our auctions and call this a hard outage or screw us instead?

it's too late to extend my auctions- I'm already screwed.

STILL DOWN!!!!

Perhaps eBay can create a "new" fee...
If you want eBay servers to "stay up"...

Let's call it the "VIAGRA FEE"...

---------------------------
Update:

I finally was able to get to the announcement page...Sheeeesh!!

I can't believe they feel being up for a few minutes constitutes scruwing everyone for fees and losses to lower bids...No WAY!
