I would write a better ad and relist the item you might wind up getting more. I would ignore the feedback and move on . Early in my ebay career I worried about such things and left 3 non paying bidders negitives non gave me negs.

What I DO think is that it make no sense to take a retaliatory neg when MY neg left for the bidder does zero harm to the bidder.

Does no harm to the bidder? Case in point. Or how about "Point--Counterpoint".

I gave a bidder his first feedback a few weeks ago--you guessed it, a neg. He deserved it. I kept watch on his feedback and the negs kept piling up. That bloke didn't pay for a single auction he won (that I know of anyway). Once he got to 5 negs he was NARU'd by ebay.

A few of these types might come back under a fresh ID, but most probably don't. So, I sincerely believe that it helps the community overall.

You don't care about the community at all. Just yourself.

Sorry about being blunt, but that's the way I see it.

the only way for the system to work is by doing the right thing in reporting bad and irresponsible users. Otherwise, these morons parade around eBay like a kid in a candy store without any money! Tehy put their hands in all the jars, but do not have the money or intentions to pay for the goods. The only difference is that a child is not expected to know better

There's a reason eBay provided a negative feedback button on the Feedback form. Now use it! Otherwise, the same idiots that bid and ran in my auctions, will end up at yours!

Common courtesy, commom sense!
