A more fundamental question is why USPS is selling stuff on eBay in the first place, and exactly where are they obtaining their merchandise from?
Perhaps this is a small sampling of the contents of customers' packages that USPS conveniently manages to get "lost in the mail"?

That statement from eBay is *BS*!
A co-worker had 199 feedback (with only one blatent retalitory neg against him), and 18 months ago he listed a new in box WinNT 3.50 software he got a really good deal on at the software store that was going out of business.
It was FULL version (not even upgrade), NOT OEM, NOT Academic. It had the hologram and UPC and everything, and was unopened--and it was all explained in the description, along with the picture of the shrink wrapped box.
He listed it, and 2 days later it was Vero'd WITHOUT EXPLANATION.
He relisted it the next day wondering why it was deleted (thinking the eBay police were a bit blurry eyed the nite before). Within a day, it was Vero'd and then his account was instantly (and PERMANENTLY) suspended.
He then got an email saying that because he relisted an item that was Vero'd he was suspended. If he felt..yada yada yada.. They would review.
He sent ALL the information, including scans from the box sides/etc to the Vero owner AND eBay.. Response from Vero: Nothing. eBay: Sorry, can't reinstate you. He complained more, but no further responses.
(All at the same time multiple other OEMs or copies were still selling to completion, of course)
He never sold on eBay again after that. So if they say they take it "one at a time" they are not telling the truth.

I agree. It is one of the most egregious examples yet of their refusal to enforce their regulations for large corporate clients.
