Judging from the ones on which I've been bidding, bottles of Woodhue perfume. LITTLE bottles are going for sixty bucks.
It's a discontinued perfume from a while ago, by Faberge. I only want a bottle because it was my grandmother's favorite and I wanted to take a sniff now and then to remind me of her. At sixty bucks, I'll stick to looking at her picture.

Any really specialized book.
You don't want something on flyfishing for beginers - you want something like "Tying natural fiber flies for the Brown Trout"
I just sold two chef books for the professional chef in French. - good money.
A couple more on Ocean Racing Strategy.

GRAVID or others,
I have also found specialty books (I have occasionally aquired) sell well. How old, though? If the flyfishing book were from the 60's, would it typically sell as well as one from the 90's? What about changes in technology from the old books to present on more technical matters? Are there buyers for the older stuff?
Example: I have a 74 page large format booklet (unlisted as yet) on preserving and storing sound recordings from 1959 printed by the Library of Congress, results of a study supported from a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation. I have often wondered if anyone would even bother bidding. I guess maybe the best way, other than occasionally looking for closed auctions of similar items, is just to list it and see what happens?
Is there anyplace you know of other than closed eBay bids to research old technical books and their value?
Thanks for any help you can give!

suz23-
Half the Janet Lamberts were reprinted by Image Cascade Printing in December 2000, another 7 reprints of her titles will be out this summer - watch those prices fall from $100+ per book to $10-$15 each.

Good point on that last one! ( janet lambert may still sell in good condition as first edition and then again maybe not) there was an excellent post on amazon seller's board re the books that are currently republished and the drop in prices especially romance. Jo beverely for example ~ However, one that now sells high as it went just out of stock " Waiting for Nick " by nora roberts $ 15.00. Some Mary balogh ~ trysting place etc.$40.00 ( these are paperbacks) Patricia Veryan/ Nora roberts / Jayne Castle ~ from her 1970's not her new ones~ /Robin Schone / Nancy Gideon ~ vampire/ Diana Gabaldon hard cover/ Linda HOward Mackenzie series ~ some other sell high soft cover books. Audio romance tapes can sell for $ 10.00. Some romance hard cover sells very high~ Amanda Quick ( her early releases ) and some paperback Nicole Jordan , but as soon as it re leased the price drops! Kind of a mixed up thread but some romance paperback novels do sell high~ I sold all my mine mostly on amazon ( before that site died!) and got hooked on auctions.

ANTIQUE FISHING LURES!!!!!
That category is just downright amazing at times. I could almost vomit when I think of all the ones I have seen sitting in .25 cent box's at yard sales and flea markets over the years.
