Well I got my bid in, but I'm just small potatoes.

Where are the big sellers who haven't bid???

How about it, ExecutiveGirl, Jumpin Jack ?

You have the bigger numbers!!!

they asked only bid once, and they asked for people to only bid .01, what is wrong with honoring their request? I told my wife to check it out and if she wanted to place a bid/vote if you go and try to bid now for .01 you can't because someone has bid .01 on all 10,000.

pwolf
I would bet that there are some bigger names that have bid with new, throw away, IDs. If that is the case I don't know why someone wouldn't just bid with their user ID that has high feedback ebay wont/can't really do anything to you and your bid carries more weight.

Now what we need is protest auctions against some of the policies, like links, web sites, etc.. anyway I'm off for a JOB interview, never thought that I would have to work for someone else again, oh well gotta pay the bills......

Gosh, I wish I could have seen this in action! What a hoot!

I wish more people would actually leave Ebay instead of griping, though. The "other" choices would flourish, if more people would stick it out and give up Ebay.

I am listing on both Epier and mostly BidVille. Yes, it is slow, but that is because everyone still goes back to Ebay. I listed some items recently on Ebay and only sold about a 1/4 of them and they only had one bid. That is NOT so great!

Meanwhile, Bidville is having a big $1.00 sale where everything has started at a $1.00 with no reserves. At least some sellers there are trying to drum up business.

Just for clarity for newcomers, the jacket auction was canceled, but the petition auction is still going at 1608411040.

There are several places on this thread where you can see the original jacket auction. Also, PLEASE abide by the TOS on the petition auction.

Secondly, a BIG THANK YOU to AuctionWatch for allowing this thread!

Hope someone archived it, it's gone from my bidding list already.
Wonder what the listing violations were? Seemed to me like it was worded pretty carefully.

Well, I'm off to list some stuff at Epier and Bidville.

What a shame, but not surprising. I think it lasted as long as it did because they were desperately trying to find a technicality to shut it down. I hope Cuties posts the reasons here.

Whats amazing to me is that it took Ebay MONTHS AND MONTHS to take down that crooked quarter seller on Ebay and only one day to pull this auction. It just goes to show how much they care about their customers and how much they care about criticism of Ebay. There are a lousy bunch of stinking crooks running that site.
I hope everyone that got crooked by that quarter seller nails Ebay to the wall, all the time they had posted on the front page of the site "WHY EBAY IS SAFE", but in reality, it wasn't safe, a good lawyer could nail them on every case for folks that got nailed on Ebay by crooked sellers.
They took down "Why Ebay is Safe" (a week or so ago) from the Ebay front page because they know it was blatantly false advertising. Go for it lawyers out there, you have a class action suit for every party that ever got shafted on Ebay and that case is against EBAY because they falsely advertised their site as safe when they knew it wasn't.
I'm all for one big bad class action lawsuit against them.
Spread the word to all the lawyers that you know that there's one huge pot of money to be gotten from those crooks, it would be like taking candy from a baby to get it (it really is a cherry of a lawsuit, too).

Here's the reason eBay pulled the auction.

Posted by cuties4U on the DNF Board:

QUOTE
We realize that you may not be aware of this policy, but auction listings are not the appropriate forum for voicing personal opinions. eBay provides discussion opportunities elsewhere on the site, but the content of auction listings is limited to describing the item being offered. We have also determined that this listing is inappropriate for eBay and do not allow items that are not for sale. Therefore, we have ended the auction, and all listing fees will be refunded to your account.
END QUOTE

BTW, I believe there were 501 bids when it was pulled.

I'm dissapointed that it was pulled. Not surprised though. At least the seller did make a pretty clear statement and with more than 500 of us bidders, there was a lot of support.

And I too just wanted to say thank you to auctionwatch for keeping this thread open! Very cool of you to do that! :0)

Absolutely right, Radodge! She put the actual auction on and they pulled it. I think she consulted a lawyer and by not putting the derogatory words in, this auction may not be able to be pulled!

In the meantime go bid your penny, it's really to show we are behind Bob! Anyone know what site he's moving to?

Hello guys. I read somewhere that Bob was moving his auctions to Yahoo but since this info was second-hand, I don't know if it's true.

If it is true, I don't quite understand why he bothered listing so much stuff in eBay's store since the only way to find the store right now is through your auctions.
