Well, yes - I do sell on Yahoo but it seems there are daaaays of no activity and then wham! bidding crunch!! I try to list more during dead weeks to be ready...
Noticed these few things:
WHY in the world are the bidders putting 1s Bid Wins on Auction Watch??
HAS anyone else gotten a 1st Bid Win bidder who denies even bidding on the item?? After a few rude responses I gave up on this jerk---didn't even bother to neg him since I could NOT get any ans from Yahoo on how to handle this one!
Does anyone notice more of a lag now on new listings being posted on our Selling list?? I put up an item----and don't see it now til the next day.
Anyone using Yahoo Pay Direct?? Any comments?

Yes, you'll have dead days in-between heavy bidding days on your Yahoo listings. I've had bidders put "first bid wins" auctions on "watch", too---guess they're undecided or just cheap and don't want to commit, since a bid on a "first bid wins" auction IS a committment, unlike a bid on a reserve auction that doesn't meet the reserve. Someone else usually snatches the item out from under them.
If you neg your bidder who denies bidding on your item, it sounds like you'll get a retaliatory neg in return, so it's up to you whether it's worth doing it. I'd BLACKLIST him from bidding on your stuff again, cancel his bid, and relist. It's not worth the grief.
I rarely check my "selling" list right after listing an item to see if it's there, but when I do (usually because I realized I'd make a mistake that needed correcting), it's always been there. I've only noticed a "lag" in a new listing coming up on word "searches" and closing auctions "disappearing" for awhile.
