My favorite color is RED!

Rawbunzel, potatoe bugs where I am are ugly things. They are at least 2 inches long, icky white and black striped with pinchers on the ends of their ugly little feet. I have never seen an insect or animal I thought was ugly. But those things are nasty looking. So are maggots.

Why Franny, I believe I would like your potato bugs. Ours are just the little gray bugs that roll up into a ball. Also called pill bugs. I really like bugs. Except fleas. They serve no purpose and they are not even cute.

Green. Earthly. Like greenery and shrubs, lots of plants in and around the home, nature lover.Right?

Gee, I MUST be bored.
Toilet paper revisited on a more personal level: Folded or wadded? If you don't know what I mean, you don't want in this conversation.
Honest question: My wife and her ancestors always leave the electric oven open a crack while broiling--claims it can damage the oven if you don't. My ancestors leave it closed having had no problems. I even contacted Cooking.com and Chefscatalog.com to ask their experts and it was an even split. Any ideas?

Oh no, Rawbunzel. These creatures are horrid. I like the beebeebugs (pill bugs). They were my playmates as a child. Harmless things, until they crawl in your ear, or corn plants

Hello lswanson. Wadded for me. Sometimes folded, especially if I blow my nose
Never heard of leaving the door open on electric oven. I did read in the local newspaper that its ok to leave mayonaisse on the pantry shelf after opening. Even kraft foods said it was ok. I was under the impression it had to be refrigerated, which is what I do, regardless of WHAT kraft says.

Leave the oven open a crack when broiling. Even says to do that in my ovens instructions. Of course I cook in a 1948 Kelvinator. Things might have changed since it was new.
Oddish, Yellow is a good color for you! Happy color.
Franny, I have lots of plants and am an avid gardener. Thus green as a second choice. I garden while wearing my RED hat and my RED tennis shoes and I have a RED bucket to put the scraps in.

Oddish, Your 7 year old is right up my alley. I have always had a curiosity about bugs and critters and have always a collection of them on hand. I love most bugs. Probably because we don't have any poisonous ones where I live. Except a spider or two. Those I do not care for.I like snakes too.

I'm afraid the poor guy doesn't get much help from me. I hate bugs...too bad you don't live next door I could send him over for that bug collection extravaganza we seem to have every spring LOL
I do buy him lots of plastic bugs though..

Oh My Goodness! KatyD! Perhaps we are twins who were seperated at birth and sent to different parts of the world only to find each other again on a message board!
That is too funny that you cook on a ancient stove too! I love mine! I sold my brand new one to have this one! Food just tastes better out of it! What does a 1940 Maytag look like? Does it have legs?

Just one more thing for Rawbunzel..
Katy is the name of our dog too! And guess what my first choice for our daughter's name was when she was born? Robin! Alas, that is also the name of my husband's first cousin whom he can't stand, so he wouldn't let me give her that name. We MUST have been separated from birth...the thought of TWO of us scared must have scared the dickens out of our parents!

Hi Oddish,
Now, I find your thread! Couldn't you have given me a kick under the table to point me in the right direction?
Looks like I missed out on the toilet paper thread. Dh is in firm belief that no one can use as much toilet paper as females. (I explained it to him)
I have been dying to talk about potty training and you are the expert.
While reading a couple of days ago and being that I am now working on this little chore I over heard the following:
"Can you believe my 2 1/2 yr old is already ready to start potty training? I can't believe it. Thank goodness my 5 1/2 yr old has just been potty trained and has gotten it down pat."
Now, I know it has been a long time, 22 1/2 yrs to be exact but isn't 5 1/2 a little old? Pamper people must love this woman.
Hi to so many of you above ^^^^^^.

Hi Shar, this is what Oddish said about training her kids last night:
"I just shove em in there pointed in no particular direction. My problem is keeping them in the house and out of the sand pile."
You sure you want Oddish's advice on potty training?? LOL
Katy, This is really quite strange. I wonder which one of us is living with our real parents?

ohh my sides hurt from laughing so hard. No wonder people think I'm a nut
HI Shar
5 does seem a bit old. My girls were always fast potty training at a little over 2 years old. My boys always take their own sweet time and usually won't until they turn about 3. My youngest will be 3 here pretty quick. 14 years of continuous diaper changes and at times three in diapers at once! YIPEEEEEEEEE

Well, I'd love to hear all of the potty training tips anyone may have. My boy (3 1/2) is not showing any interest. My girl is a little interested, but not enough to actually do anything while she's sitting there.
Actually, son will go if I sit there long enough. Seems like a game to me though. How long will Mommy wait before I must produce?
OK, please send all tips in this direction.
