Left 15 neg's - every NPB I had.

1 retalitory (but he left it before I left mine - he asked to back out of bid and I said no.)

Not too bad for 3 years of selling.

To: All those who've stated that they do not leave, nor, will leave a Neg.....

You are doing an injustice to yourself and the sellers/buyers who do leave Negs.

As stated above....be proud. Wear your Neg as a "Badge of Courage" Don't be a coward!

Also as stated above, I never intentionally make a poor business decision. Therefore I cannot concur with your conclusions or act upon your recommendation.

Negs I've left = 1.797% For both non-paying buyers and for sellers who would not refund my money when their item was not as described. (ie: excellent condition - and it was damaged)

Negs I've received = 0.264% None were from buyers. Not even the buyers I neg'd for non-payment.
All were retalitory negs from the sellers who lied in their descriptions.

Your opinion is appreciated, noted, and filed.

Please don't turn this into a flame-fest!

We each do what we have found to be best for our business and ourselves.

The feedback system is heavily flawed.
Not everyone has the sense of obligation to report the bad guys.
As long as everyone reports the NPB's and files for FVF's, that all we can ask while the retaliatory system is in place.

Mr.B (and other non-NEG-posters):
FWIW, I respect and understand your decision.
I appreciate your filing for your fees as it helps us all!

zoomin:

I'm in total agreement with the entirety of your last post. No flames are being generated by my PC, I assure you. I understand and respect opposing views as well. Apparently a few posters among us do not. I'm sorry if my posts helped to sort of de-rail your thread, as that was certainly not my intention.

Everyone have a great Independence Day!

For your further de-railment entertainment...
(not really, it is about retaliatory negs)

This morning's mail has brought another interesting tidbit:
(truth is in italics)
XXX,
I wrote to you and explained my delay in paying for that auction(not). I did want your shirt(You just didn't want to pay for it??). I asked you if I could still pay you for the shirt(true) and you sent me a copy of the auction which stated that payment MUST be made within ten days (Responsed with a duplicate EOA giving bidder another ten days) and I was already outside of that ten days(not, why would I refuse money??). This told me that NO I could not still buy the shirt (see previous, I do not sell items to say you cannot have them). I have a copy of the mail that I wrote to you asking you this and explaining my situation(explaining that you would pay. Never happened.). I did not expect negative feedback from you.(I did not expect your lack of payment). I apologize for any inconvenience.(a bit late)
xxx

Bidder failed to respond to second request for payment, failed to respond to NPB, no contact after FVF filed.
Newbie with 2(pos)FB.
This is response to neg filed three days ago.

Do I smell another retaliatory NEG coming my way???

I've left 23 negs out of 935 feedbacks left on eBay according to vrane. So far, I've received none in retaliation, but I have 1 retaliatory neutral on eBay.

I did receive a retaliatory neg on Yahoo that was changed to a neutral after I changed my neg on the buyer to a neutral when the misunderstanding was cleared up. The only reason I didn't make it a positive was because the transaction couldn't be completed.

No matter what, I will always leave negs for non-paying bidders.
