i still think massjoe is a she !
no,she did not mention ssdi, she just said she has been disabled and is now in her late twenties.
may be the disability advocate will mediate for her.
no i am not related to kiawok or anyone on this board but i do have a thing about camels .
you do not get ssdi if you have not worked and earned the credit or whatver they call it.or even if you have worked and stopped working ,then after 7 years ,you get nothing if you are disabled.

massjoe,
Do not be afraid to return here because some misguided people mentioned disability issues, which are simply not relevant here, and of no real consequence anyway. Most of your income can be deducted to just about squat, so have no fear.
The main charge they seem to be levelling against you is 'site interference'. From a second account associated with yours. Presumably by Credit Card. If someone has used your credit card, they are the likely culprits. If you have used a relative's credit card, then that relative is suspect of some disruptive activities.
If you have a broadband account (and in actuality even if you don't) then there is a high likelihood that your system has been hacked and that someone has gained access to your Credit Card information so as to either set up a fraudulent eBay account, or even possibly to launch a Denial-of-Service attack from either your machine, or an account from another ISP which was purchased with your CC info.
In either case you should not mention your disability but should clearly state that this error on their part has cost you dearly in wages and reputation, and that if it is not cleared up immediately that you will be forwarding this matter to your attorney.
You can be serious about this too.
With a disability such as yours, you can only be required to pay back a certain sum if it can be proved that you earned in excess of a certain amount. You do not lose your eligibility for disability if and when your income drops below established levels.
You can take ebay to court and sue the britches off them, especially for punitive damages based on the disgraceful way they have treated you. It would make media headlines, and I can't imagine a jury not siding with you. With a large enough award there will never be reason again to even be concerned about a government check again.

i have a feeling MASSJOE is quietly reading these posts .it is turning into a discussion which would make AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION,SOCRATES AND PLATO proud, also sherlock holmes .
a person who has been dealing on ebay for 32 months is not a newbie.
i have been on ebay for over 5 years,i dont have much direct dealing with them, but i know how it works, and how it can affect me and how i need to go about communicating with them.
suggesting a lawsuit is not a good idea, finding out why one is suspended and if one is innocent of wrongdoing,i am very sure he/she will be reinstated.
if not, find another venue to sell, there are plenty of other alternatives out there.

I believe that massjoe's eBay account (completely different user name than the one registered here at AW) has been back up and running since Monday (August 27th).
I don't know why massjoe has not returned to this thread to update all of the folks posting here at AW who have been so kind to remain concerned for this eBay user....
Without reveialing any personal info, can you please reveal what the nature of the problem really was?
We do really need to know exactly what gets their trigger finger itchy.
hwa,
eBay has been grossly overstepping its bounds and really needs some good lawsuits to put them in their place. They have gained a reputation for being Teflon coated in the past since prior lawsuits were generally based on the notion of responsibility for particular items or classes of items, and ebay won by forcing the issue that they "are ONLY a venue".
But this is a two edged sword since being a venue does not only absolve the corporation from certain responsibilities, it also legally limits their capacity to control.
You cannot walk into Sears and say 'Sears Sucks' and not expect to be thrown out, and with possibly a restraining order prohibiting your return indefinitely. Sears is not a venue.
While talking on the phone to your grandma you can freely mention that the telephone company sucks, without fear that they will terminate your service. You can even complain about how horrible they are in letters to the editor of the New York Times, and they would be powerless to do anything. They are 'only a venue'.
A smart lawyer should be able to take this point and ride with it, especially with the egregious violations of the Sherman Anti-Trust Act that have been occurring on a regular basis. eBay is second only to MicroSoft in arrogance.
I agree with snakebait. Can you give us more information?
I read these topics so I can learn from other's mistakes and triumphs. I beome a more effective buyer and seller on eBay by reading the topics posted to this forum.
However, with this thread, something went real wrong with the account of a user, something that might happen to any one of us. But we are left hanging. We don't know what happened or how the problem was solved. I want more information so I can keep this from happening to me.
