My particular status checker had sent me 5 emails in 5 days, starting 2 days after the auc ended. Each asking exactly the same question, did you get my check? Did you send my item?
I think one or two emails, with a few days in between, is probably acceptable with nearly everybody.
btw, as a coda to this story, I finally told the person in these exact words: "I will email you when I get your check. It is not necessary to email me every day asking about it." And the dude leaves me got this NEUTRAL feedback before I even got his check:
Good but does have attitude with asking for updates other than that hes A+

BlondeSense - Definitely reply to their email to tell them that "maybe they missed it, but you paypalled them on 10/12". Sometimes PP doesn't send out notifications, sometimes PP payments don't go where we expect. I've had at least two bidders who were SURE they send me the payment. They never told me what they did wrong, but I eventually go the payment.

loosecannon this just arrived in my mailbox. Perhaps I just haven't had enough coffee this morning.
I don't want to play the "reserve not yet met" game. What is your minimum?
Generally I am more than happy to tell a seller what the reserve is....in this case the item has a posted "Buy It Now" price of $29.00 so he knows what that is and it has bids of 7.50...reserve not yet met so he has got to be able to figure if he really wants the item that it is between 7.50 and 29.00.
The item is retailed at $36 and sells for that often on our website.
I don't want to play the "reserve not yet met" game. What is your minimum?
Now is it just me or is he being brusque to the point of rudeness? No greeting, no "I've been looking at this item would you please tell me", nothing just that one line...I'd been sitting here trying to determine if I want to block him from my auctions when I ran across this thread.
Sadie999...definitely like your reply!

I for one wont even look at an auction with a reserve price, however, that is me. In no way would I ever be rude to someone with a reserve price. I just dont get people sometimes.

keziak,
Amazon provides the buyers email address in the Amazon Marketplace emails informing you that you've sold an item. You can use the email address to contact the buyer and set their shipping expectations.
