My name has the initials of a dear friend I hurt really bad. I still miss him. Even though he forgave me, I still haven't forgiven myself.

I seem to do a lot of stupid or terrible things when I act out of emotion. Now my kittens are gone forever because I acted out of stress and being upset. It's only been 2 days and I feel like I've lost my children. I'm just hoping that whomever found them and took them are taking good care of them and giving them the love they need and deserve. I just keep wondering why I hurt the ones I love most of all, even though I should know better by now.

When I became a grandma 2 yrs ago which was around the time I was considering selling on ebay, I decided that I didn't want at 41 years old to be called grandma....but wanted a different name.....so I decided I would rather be a "Nana"....then when my precious "Cameron" (grand-daughter) came along she would "bob" her head like most new borns do when they try so hard to hold up their heads and she reminded me of a "Turtle" so I nicknamed her my "turtle"....thus my nickname of "NanasTurtle" was born.....but when I went to register on auctionwatch, NanasTurtle was already taken so "NanasTurtles" seemed the next best thing! But at 2 years old, she is still my "turtle"....love her to pieces!

After living in the CA desert for 20+ years, we escaped to the Central Valley. And at 50, I'm definately NOT a girl.

Not my name on ebay.

RODDADDY / I build and custom paint streetrods. You know those autos of pre 1948 vintage with all of the creature comforts (v-8, automatic trans, air cond, cruise controll etc). We are very active in the rodding sport and enjoy outings as a family.

AndieBelle is a combination of a very old nickname (my litle sister couldn't quite pronounce my first one) and a moniker I got after my buds and I discussed the burning, highly important question "which was the worst Partridge Family episode ever?" (So much for our Algonquin-quality rapier wit...ahem.)

See y'all at the Other Place!

I took the name packer from my dog.

The little boy that gave him up when he was a puppy named him "packer" because he was an advid "PACKERS" Fan.
He said the only way that I could have him was if I kept his name.

HERE IS PACKER

Krazy Keri was a foster daughter of mine who tried to kill my 9 year old son with a knife. She was 8 at the time. She is in a special home for mentally ill children.

I'm Skoolmom on eBay because I homeschool and in the early days we were only allowed 8 letters for our name on my internet first server- never wanted to change it.

Bye everybody- it was fun while it lasted.....

Hey Packer! Packer is sooooo cute!

My ID here came to being because of weirdo auction interference when I had my ebay (and everywhere else) ID here. So I changed it to Triggerfish because ... Well, because ... I don't know why. Cuz I like it!

Well, no I'm not from Indiana. Mine is from all the hoosier cabinets I've bought over the years at auctions. The name was dubbed by a man who didn't know my name, just what I bought.

Till we meet again.

posted on October 31, 2001 04:45:07 PM
When I first signed on to eBay, I tried to use "Meltdown" and it was taken and it gave me as a choice, Meltdown891. I just used it here. Now that we've had the problems with the crazies, I've changed my eBay handle but kept this one.

The meltdown reference...I used to live very, very close to Three Mile Island when it almost became a pile of radioactive goo. My wife says that it fits becuase of my "nuclear" temper.

In any case, it's one of those weird nicknames that's been with me all of my life. My business has the name Meltdown in it. The music I write is for sale under the "Doctor Meltdown" moniker (highly recommended if you like head-slamming electronic Techno music).

I am so going to miss all of you. I hope that all of you will join us at that "other" place.

I'm not a pilot, or even much of a frequent flyer, but air and space flight are both fascinating (along with science and science fiction), and I tried for several IDs related to the above, but my first tries were refused, and finally, out of frustration, tried the two planes I am almost always on when I do fly: Douglas DC-9 and Airbus A-320.

Admittedly, though, for a short handle, it was awkward to remember, so it was probably not the best choice, and many simply said "dc9"

And it sounds almost like my real name

 patspix

What fun this thread is! What interesting people we have spent time chatting and 'lurking' around.

My ID is the result of a hobby... landscape/historical photograhy in the Color Country of Utah, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico.

When up-loading my pictures on my website (a year ago) I filed them in a deparate folder called 'PatsPix', to differentiate them from the family pics. The name has stuck. On other forums, requiring numbers as well as letters, I'm Pat1939 (name and YOB).

How I wish all of you would keep your IDs on the other forums. Even though I've rarely responded on these pages, I feel as though I will be losing contact with the many 'friends' I've found here. For those of you who stick with the same ID, I'm looking forward t seeing you on OTWA and others.

Thanks for the great info so many of you have shared so openly...and the help you've given so willingly.

Pat
(NOT patspix on ebay)
