"These are also called PDA auctions which the seller offers something for $.01 and doesn't even require payment:"
This is why ebay gave him the boot, ebay will not allow their site to be used as a free advertisment. [spam]

Regarding the previous posts and my current status on ebay.
Our company (Midwest Magazines) operated two eBay accounts (midwestmagazines and midwestmagazines2). Our company was comprised of two partners, Myself, and my former girlfriend. For personal reasons, we seperated in late January, and decided also to seperate our business interests. I took over the Midwest Magazines account, and she took the other. Because the accounts were linked, and the fees were not paid on MidwestMagazines2 by her, it made MidwestMagazines a naru'd account due to the fact that they were linked by a common credit card.
Ebay does not seem receptive in working out this scenario, even after I gave them $7900 for my fees last month, so I am at a loss as what to do. "Although they understand my situation, these are the rules."
I do plan to move forward with the distributor program, but I am delaying the program for at least a week. I apologize for this decision, but I prefer to operate from strength not weakness.
We did not answer mail over the weekend, as my staff was off, and it was a holiday weekend. We will be contacting everyone who has expressed interest in the very near future.

Interesting that there is only one "distributor" left on eBay. The others have been NARU'd. The one that is left will probably be out of business fairly quickly, since they are now listing subs starting at 1 cent.
I feel sorry for reliable99 and the other two, but glad for myself that I didn't meet Midwest's "standards" and that he ran into trouble so quickly after offering his "opportunity". Sounds like the company was already underwater and he was trying to get above by building a pyramid.
Those that called it a scam at the beginning were right on the money.

so there were more than one midwestmagazines sellers until now??
i need aspirin??
so if ex girlfriend midwestmagazines2 did not pay her bill ,she must have been NARU'D.
and midwestmagazines is now NARU'D because of midwestmagazines2.
so who is left selling then??

Hmmmm, makes one wonder what (who?) scared reliable99 off???
Anyways, there were three other sellers in addition to the 2 midwest's. Interesting that out of the 5, 4 list an address in the Phoenix area. There is only one with auctions currently running. The other two must have got whacked within the last 24 hours, because their auctions were still showing up in a description search.

Now wait...
If the two accounts were linked by a common credit card then the fees came off that card, then BOTH midwestmagazine accounts didn't pay their bills.
Not to mention that ebay does give you two billing periods to pay the full amount before NARUing your account, that would mean they haven't paid their bills for two months.
Should we also mention that the negatives were already flying on Midwestmagazines2?

Payment details.
Midwest Magazines2 did not pay their fees. Midwest Magazines did. Even though Midwest Magazines did pay their fees they were NARU'd because of the non-payment from Midwest Magazines2.

I wouldn't expect ebay to be sympathetic if both accounts are owned by you. Apparently you did not seperate them officially, which is too bad. Looks like you will have to pay up, or stop selling on ebay (and of course remove that other account from your name, cancel it or soemthing)

Why would someone who had so many feedbacks and had been on ebay for a while...why would they all of a sudden do this?
And try and take others down with them?
Remember, they said THIS WEEK all the 15 people would be selling on ebay.
Perhaps he knew he was going to be NARU'd
and was trying to get others to sell BEFORE this happened...only he got NARUD before he got it all set in place?
Also, when I do a search I find nothing from reliable99 that is current...???
Why would someone be STUPID enough to come here to try and con us?

Reliable99 is not his ebay id. Look up under the e-mail address he posted before he zapped his own post: [email protected]

If discountmagazines ([email protected]) on ebay is connected with or is midwestmagazines, then they are off to a very bad start.
261 feedback with 11 negatives and 10 neutrals. Most from non-delivery of the product even after 3 months.
Why even come here at all and make an offer? He was going to use PDA auctions to get sales reps anyway.

Discountmagazines' auctions look extrememly similar to what midwestmagazines' listings looked like before he was NARUed. I'd say there's some relationship between them. What the nature of that relationship is/was, isn't clear. There's always two sides to a story, and we haven't heard either of them very clearly.

You know, ordinarily I don't play detective on auctions. But I was real curious about whether you could really make money with this deal and all Midwest was offering was hyperbole. So I started looking for other people selling subs. Then, I wondered if anyone was "borrowing" his templates since he is so successful. A quick description search turned up the 3 distributors in Phoenix. Midwest2 didn't appear in my searches because they had quit listing before this whole thread got started.
The three distributors were all listing the same way and listing pretty much every magazine they could from the looks of it. So much for the claim of each distributor specializing and not overlapping.
Just looking now, discount and the other NARU have been reinstated and are listing away. What I find really peculiar is the third distributor's (not NARU'd) listings ended on the 15th and none were reposted. Then on the 19th they start listing 1 cent auctions and launched a store with subs in it, which is really similar to the way Midwest was running. Midwest and Midwest2 are still NARU.
The whole setup just gives me the creeps now. It sounded good at the beginning, but after digging a bit it looks very, very bad.

You know... I bought something from this seller about 3 weeks before this posting. They have not emailed me, they did not send me the information they were supposed to within 30 days, and they have not responded to my emails...
I hope if anyone did get involved with this person they know what they are doing. This is the worst ebay experience I have had ... and now that they are NARU I feel kinda s&^#%d here. I am just wondering if I am really going to get these magazines or not.
