Trying to maintain my professionalism is getting harder and harder.
In a nutshell:
Non-responsive winning bidder.(FB 66, not a newbie)
Sent eBay's EOA.
Sent my EOA.
Sent PayPal EOA.
Sent my reminder.
NPB reminder from eBay.
ahhhh... a response from the bidder.
"I never bid on this item & never received notification that I won"

The winning bidder on this auction is xxxx, registered to the address all info was sent to (from eBay, PayPal, and myself). Is that not one of your bidding names?

next thing I know I get paid via PayPal, so I ship item. BUT i DO NOT post feedback upon receipt as is my norm (but that's another issue).
Before I know it, bidder posts a neg on me! cut and paste again:
FAKE three dot T-shirt!!! Beware of this seller!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
for those of you who don't know, three dots is a boutique brand, no one is selling fakes, there wouldn't bew any demand for it (unlike Tommy Hilfiger, LV, gucci, etc where fakes abound).
In a huff, I left a silly response on my profile, oh well, too late.
Question is:
What Would You Post as feedback for this "I didn't bid, didn't win, here's your money, then nasty FB bidder?

More and more bidders with higher and higher feedback ratings are changing their minds on eBay auction wins. Most of them know that the seller can not force them to pay and if pestered enough they will pay but will leave a phony negative feedback that will stick.
They can not do that on Half.com items or Amazon purchases. eBay knows that more and more NPBs are being filed and they want to shift to the fixed price model as soon as possible.

eBay has been using pop-ups at the top of the page advertising the "fixed price" strategy. I'm not sure how that is supposed to prevent this situation, though! "Buy It Now" has a significant number of NPB's in my experience so I really steer away from listing those.

I had a funky feeling about this eBayer, which is why I didn't post FB upon receipt of payment. I'd like to warn other seller's about her "habits" of forgetful bidding, denial, late pay, and unwarranted neg.
I did file an NPB for this bidder for non-payment. Any opinion on whether I should follow up selecting "did not follow terms of auction" (payment was due within ten days & not received in that timeframe). At least that would put a "ding" on her record, right?

I would suggest leaving neutral or negative feedback to this effect:
unresponsive bidder, late payment, left unwarranted negative feedback
I got an undeserved neg this week. Buyer won a suite of three graphics programs. The version number of the suite was 1.2. The version number of the program she wanted was 2.0, and she did receive version 2.0 as stated in the ad.
I also got two or three neutrals from AOL users who apparently didn't receive my many emails. I'm thinking of banning AOL users from my auctions.
This has been my worst feedback week in five years selling on eBay. How I ever got to (4300) dealing with these nitwits is beyond me.

How's this? If it is to many words remember take out the spaces and capital the next item.
Denial bidding,Then late pay,Sent item,States fake,Sellers beware.
In form of rage we never do what we should do. Next time take a deep breath, walk away from your computer for a while, then come back and finish what you were doing in a professional way. It will make you feel better in the long run and it shows that you can be professional.

I have no idea what JACKSWEB is probably ranting about because he has been on my AW ignore list along with RB for a while now.
eBay needs an option where the buyer has to pay via credit card instantly, much like Half. I'm sure that's coming soon. The integrating of Half's 100 million items with the 7 miliion eBay auction items should soon be in full swing. A search for an item will yield a list of items including any Half items. There will be tighter and tighter restrictions on buyers of auction format items. This is the only course that eBay can take in my opinion.

no worries ~ I have no fear of leaving negs ~ I've left over 300 of them!
I guess my dilemma is that this is only the second time I have been negged (other than straight retaliation). (this puts me at 12 negs and 2 neutrals, I believe). I'm not so much concerned with what's been left for me, I am still over 99% positive . I don't particularly like that they stated my items are fake but it is almost buried already.
Many sellers would be damaged by this eBayer's "assault", ie those who don't sell as often or who don't have such a following. That is why I would like to place professional & to the point negging on their profile. I use the fb system, flawed as it is, and would like to clearly warn others. Had I not been as experienced, I would have left FB upon payment, as I do 99% of the time. I think that many (if not most) newbie sellers look at bidder FB prior to filing for fees, hopefully I can get a "heads up" message out to them just in case!

Second part of the question is:
Since I have already started by filing an NPB, I am able to enter a FVF claim, stating that the buyer did not follow auction terms.
I will, of course (for those of you who don't know me), state the amount of payment received, and actually not get my fees back. I am under the impression that it will still "ding" them for not following auction terms. Am I correct on that? It may be their NARU ding, too!
If so, I will follow through. If it will not be a strike against them, I would prefer not to open a can of worms. Once they get that eBay e-mail stating I zapped them, I am sure to get an incoming e-mail from the weenie.

ahhh...the uneducated consumer. Those negs stink. That was what actually warranted my only other non-retaliatory neg (double whammy, too!). Bidder purchased two NEW shirts, distressed style, and claimed that items were used. sheesh! I had to send the fashion police out after them
I'm an aol user ~ no problems here. I'm not sure why so many people have e-mail issues in that I never have. I get more problems with my hotmail bidders.

zoomin, I'm not certain but I think they are NARU only for not paying? If they don't follow the terms but you still get paid I don't think ebay will do anything to them. Maybe someone else knows for sure.

This is really becoming a problem for us too.
Last week I got a note from a bidder who thought I was avoiding a sale with her.
I sent EOA's from every way possible. I even left feedback saying I couldn't reach her (positive because I saw she wanted to pay).
I Pulled her user info and she had an incorrect phone number.. I finally had to resort to contacting Ebay.
Now she is really mad. Ebay has her a "Not a Registered User" now... (bad phone number).
I feel very bad, I did not want to get her in trouble..but AOL just won't let anything through and I don't want her leaving me feedback saying I did not follow through.
I guess she got the hint, she paid via Paypal last night. I can't wait for her to be reinstated and neg me for getting her thrown off... I know she will.

I had this problem last year. For about 3 months, all emails I sent from my ISP to AOL addresses disappeared without reaching my customers. Apparently, AOL's spam filters were blocking my all of my emails (non-spam) and I didn't receive any notices or bounced emails.
So after figuring out what happened, I had to use my hotmail account to communicate with aol users.
But AOL eventually fixed the problems (at least mine) with their spam filters and now I can reach all of my AOL customers.

BTW, have you found any tools that can enlighten me as to how many negs I have left for deadbeats? I always liked vrane but stopped using them when they wanted money for the service! It's just a curiosity thing, not something I want to spend cash on!

It is frustrating. I'm getting their emails, but they're not getting mine. It starts out, hey, I won your auction send info followed by what's up? followed by if I don't hear from you, I'll complain to eBay, etc.
I guess when that happens, I need to send a "personal message" heads-up via eBay's internal system. God I hate AOL.
Following is a reply I received from eBay after I requested to know why a bidder was still registered after I filed five FVF's against them for not paying for five auction wins:

Thank you for taking the time to write to us concerning the FVF credit requests you made for the five auctions member [email protected] did
not pay for.
The system will not automatically suspend a bidder if that bidder receives three or more non-paying bidder warnings from one seller.
This does not mean that the bidder will not be suspended, it simply means that the bidder will be manually reviewed and if appropriate, suspended.
I have expedited your message to our PowerSeller Trust and Safety team
who will review the situation and take the appropriate action. A
representative of that team will respond to you directly at the earliest
possible convenience.

Ten days has passed since I originally filed the NPB so I attemted to "file for fvf". Apparently, since I received the full amount from the bidder, eBay will not allow me to complete the "didn't follow auction terms" to ding this nut!
now...I can post feedback, neg of course!
I'm thinking along the lines of twin & libra:
