By the way, what is a Clutterpie? Is it like a cowpie, just more stinky?

Here in the midwest we don't step in cowpies.

We really should just end this thread here and let it die. More posts is just what they want so they can stay at the top above the other spam-free threads.

There is no Spam in either the challenge or any of my posts in this thread.

I am not promoting or offering any product for sale.

There are only a few places to share News in our industry.

This is one. I posted the challenge so that it would be seen by ebay or any interested parties.

It's so sad to see more Ebay Ambassodors online than real auction users....

Wow. What a website.

Spam or no Spam, you should at least make sure your site works before you mention it in a public forum.

Or does your site really have only six items for sale and all users have names like jkjkjkjk?

Yes, and I've invited Meg to a spirited game of checkers!

We both have the same likelyhood of her attendance.

meg don't run no dam Empire ebay is some digital data on a computer hard drive not much different then that which all of us who use the internet are sitting in front of right now.

they paid a few more dollars then we did for the computer but it simplly a computer and meg is a puppet master pulling the string of everyone who inputs data into it including buyer and sellers.

the big difference between an ebay employee and an ebay seller is an ebay employee isn't silly enough to pay to be an ebay puppet they get paid.

There are more auction users here than on your whole site. According to your logic, that makes your site very sad and pathetic.

Even though I have had some bad experiences on Ebay, for the most part I have accomplished what I set out to whether buying or selling. Like all other free enterprise fees, Ebay's are set by what the market will bear. I suppose that auctionpie is a viable alternative, where there would be no glitches, problems, system crashes, forgeries, etc. LOL! Those who get curious and go to the site, whose web address you gave in your original post(not a spam or advertisement though!) will raise your "hit" count for your own purposes. Knowing that Meg would never even acknowledge you, your somewhat clever but now played out "challenge" is exposed for what it is and therefore is dead.

Stusi,

When you make an assumption you make an "Ass" out of "U".

This is no publicity stunt. It's a very genuine thing.

There will be a debate on August 8th. I can assure you of that.

If Meg or someone from Ebay doesn't wish to defend the question then I'm sure we will have enough applications to take the other side.

Perhaps you would like to apply?

Jamie

Assuming that there will be someone representing Ebay debating you on August 8 makes an ass of one of us, that's for sure.

empire: dictionary definition

4. large far-flung business: a very large, powerful, and extensive industrial or commercial organization

ebay is an auction empire whether others believe it or not.

Actually, perhaps it is a good thing canvid13 spammed us. Now we can actually see how professional he is compared to Meg.

Check out his selling record and then decide if this is the person you want in charge of the auction site where you choose to sell.

Twinsoft

You are judgeing these videos to be bootleg based on the fact they are import and in SP mode.

Just so you know as of last say the last year or so we have been getting many video that run 3 hours or better right from walmart new recorded in SP speed I guess they do this to save them selves money and the buyer as the cost of VHS tape have dropped conciderably over the last few years they dont have to make it a two tape set.

in any case the listing states the video is new NTSC IMPORT IN SP MODE and as long as that what the buyer get it is not misrepresented.

canvid13- A 13 cent private auction? Are you afraid that some of your many unhappy buyers will contact new bidders?

jamie only has 2 negs with that ID I so there is not that many unhappy sellers to worry about.

many well known seller on ebay run privite auctions including many posters on this an other message boards what are they afraid of.

besides if people really want the bidders IDs I believe all they would have to do is make a bid check the bid history and then retract there bid so nothing is really all privite.

That won't show people the bidders. It says:

private auction -- bidders' identities protected

I use private auction all the time. I hate it when bidders retract. Useing private auctions stopped that.

I just had an auction stopped by Ebay. It has been a year since that has happened. It looks like Clutterpie has decided to screw those who disagree with him. Only enter any of your info on his web site if you want him to use that info to rip you off.

Hey Nerd,

There are actual laws about making statements like the one above.

I have been online for a few years now. I don't harvest email names and I don't send unsolicited sales info.

There is a very much clear privacy policy availabe on our site.

Hell, I don't even email my own customers.

You are all entitled to your "opinions". You are not entitled to slander or say or repeat mistruths knowingly.

I'm not thin skinned but please keep your abuse within the boundaries of accepted laws.

Hey Stusi! How about adding the amount of Positives?? You don't want to be accused of being a demogogue do you?

Congratulations to some though, this board is almost as bitter and hostile as Ebay's!

Thanks all,

Jamie

Jamie- Demagogue this! If someone has 9% non-positives(neutrals and negs) that means they have 91% positives. That is nothing to brag about- approximately 1 out of every 10 customers are not happy. In business that is considered a failure in customer satisfaction. Besides there are many buyers who don't know any better or are just too lazy to respond with a neg. I suspect the real numbers are higher. Stick to providing better products and services and forget your dream of competing with Ebay. I admire your aggressiveness but question your being in touch with reality.

I believe Jamie promised a go-live date of July 31st for AuctionPie. That's just a week away, but there's no word at the site. In fact, it appears he's still looking for beta testers. James, when (if ever) do you expect to open AuctionPie to the public?

Technerd, I know a cow-pie when I see one, and there's just no comparison. Cow-pies can be a valuable source of energy. Auction-pies are only good for stand-up comedy.

As much as I would wish you the best of luck with what you want to do, I would also advise you to keep silent.

When you talk down to people and just insult them it makes it tough to get them to see your point of view.

You are not the type to do the p.r. work. You are your own worst enemy.

This has been brought out to you before! Did you not "hire" someone to take care of this?!
Then let them do their thing and you be would be better off to stay in the back ground.

Just because you get a negative dear friends does not mean you have done anything wrong.

I have one person who left me 19 negs on Amazon who is very friendly now and is to be a subscriber of a certain new Auctionsite that is to open soon.

I was one of over 200 victims of a major fraud by a Powerseller on Ebay who had over 20000 feedbacks with an extremely high ratio of positives.

If any of you are actual sellers and wish to spite your face for your nose that is of course up to you.

You can grumble about my feedback and pay certain other Auction sites their high fees and restrictive policies.

No harm done either way. It's all about choice. And there are many other choices in between. The bitterness and acrimony of some of you posts is very sad.

Shame none of you have any problem with our actual business model or what we are about to do for Online Sellers and bidders. None of you have ever met me or done business with me but you sure do seem to have these strong negative opinions?

But then you are all soooooo smart and I am .....aw Twinny, you tell them what I am since you love to do so.

Nite all!

Jamie
