<<didnt you state in one of your earlier posts that when contacted via phone, you were informed that the "deceased" woman was out shopping and that the "deceased" mother answered the phone? wouldnt that be enough proof that this woman is full of crap?>>
Yes thats the nail in the coffin so to speak, but in my earlier post I was only referring to my official email dealings with her. When my friend called this gals Florida number, the dead mom said the deceased daughter was out shopping but no mention of the dearly departed dad. However I wouldn't be surprised if he was out shopping with the daughter, maybe for caskets? By the way I live in Arlington, Va to the person who asked me.
To some of the others on her like Kido2 who say they are tired of this thread, I would suggest they simply don't read it. It still amazes me that idiots like kido2 would take her side although I still think kido2 and others like him must be bored trolls. I am sure if the shoe was on the other foot and kido2 was fed these incredible excuses he wouldn't be so quick to accept them.
My main purpose in posting this was twofold. Sure the dollar amount is small, but the intent was a slap towards all sellers and this gal could just as easily pull this stunt on anyone with a larger purchase as could any other bidder. My other reason to post this is to completely shame her. I fully intend to send her this thread when the time for submitting feedback is over with.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but kiddo, you are out of line. This is an amusing story and an enjoyable thread except for your irrational rantings. Rent20's friend CALLED the buyer and the "dead" mother answered the phone and said the "dead" girl was out SHOPPING. There is NO truth to the buyer's story.
And, even if Rent20 MADE UP THE WHOLE THING, so what? What's it to you? If it upsets you that much, stay out of the thread. The rest of us are enjoying this little break from our work days.
Get grief counseling for your own real death story, or have your medication adjusted, but leave the rest of us the hell alone.

I just checked out your auction and it seems a great value. I am sorely tempted to send the sister a "helpful" email with a link to your auction. Maybe you could also revise the terms of your auction to state that bids are only accepted from the living, as you will not accept bids from deceased parties.

rent20...
Well, you have confirmed it! You seem to fit all the criteria of a sick, STALKING, HARRASSING, lying, intrusive, abusive, insincere, suspicious, demeaning, non compassionate, spam sending psycho "lowlife" with nothing better to do nor the brains to do it with than to play Satan.. IN OTHER WORDS, YOU ARE, IN MY CONSTITUTIONAL OPINION, AN A+#1 ASS----!..Don't you get it???? It just don't matter anyway, noway, nohow! YOU GOT YOUR STUPID MONEY!!!!
I hope you get out of Ebay, a better calling would be a scum sucking annoying bill collector..My berievances go with the family who has suffered great loss of life...or ...great ingenuity... whichever the case may be..YOU are in the wrong, not them...they paid for the damn tape...that is when YOU, the so called professional Ebayer, are supposed to shut up,leave decent feedback and get on to the next item at hand!
"rent20
Dear Marjorie,
Well I have already cashed your sisters check which is why I sent out
the videotape
so quickly. Normally I wait 7-10 days for a check to clear before
sending out merchandise. However in this case the bank the check was
written on (Suntrust) also has local branches up here in the Virginia
area. So I just went to the local Suntrust bank next to my office and
cashed the check at the teller window. Since I had the cash in hand, is
why it was shipped so promptly.
As I said I would have been willing to refund the item if you gave me
the name of the probate attorney, but since you said your sister had a
small estate with little money, then I completely understand why your
family wouldn't bother going to the hassle and expense of hiring a
probate attorney.
I do like your idea of donating the $26 to a charity, and I think a very
good choice would be MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving). I actually
had a friend who was killed by a drunk driver last year
so I contribute on a regular basis to MADD and have even done some
volunteer work for them. So as per your suggestion I mailed off $26 to
them today, and I am sure your sister would appreciate that. May I take
the liberty to suggest that since you now have a family member that was
killed by a drunk driver that you might want to get involved with a
local chapter of MADD. They are always looking for volunteers and this
would be one way of showing respect to your sister. If I had my way,
every drunk driver who causes a accident should be locked up for life as
these low-lifes have no respect for their fellow human beings.
Best Regards"
SICK!!!! SINCE YOU CALL THEM LIARS TO OUR FACE! WOULD NOT TRUST YOU AS FAR AS ...oh well..you know the expression..you KNOW everything else..
My goal in posting this sad tale isn't to meet your approval, but to inform others of the low-lifes on Ebay. I think most people on here have the correct opinion of you as witness the countless other posts calling you a idiot, saying you have to increase your meds etc. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if you don't pay for your auctions and give elaborate excuses for non payment. That would explain why you are so upset.
For the final time, I was not paid for this auction in the normal sense. A check was sent to me without the funds in the account to cover the check. Sole purpose in sending the check was for the bidder to save face and hope I would be swayed by her excuses into tearing the check up. If the check had bounced for NSF, I am sure she thought I wouldn't be so heartless as to chase her dead sister over a $31 check.
What she didn't figure on was me cashing the check directly. As I releated in a earlier message, when I initially went to Suntrust to cash the check the teller declined saying the computer showed the funds weren't available. She guessed it might be due to a float but couldn't tell from the info on the computer screen. When I asked the manager to approve the check, he did it very quickly without so much as glancing at the computer screen with the womans account info on it. He probably did this because he knew me and since I keep large balances there ($5k plus) he thought such a small check from someone to me must be ok. Its even possible he thought the check was being deposied directly into my account which it wasn't.
I am sure our gal was stunned when told by Suntrust they debited her account for a check she had written and also charged her account for going into the red. I can just see her whining to Suntrust that how could the check possibly have been cashed if there wasn't money in the account to cover it. I would have paid to be a fly on the wall at that moment. Most banks hate it when your accoutn goes into debit, and usually will cancel said account if it has happened more than once. It will really make my day if my check was the final straw that set into motion her account being canceled.
Once your account has been canceled by a bank, you go on a blacklist banks maintain and its extremely hard to find another bank that will let you open a account. Maybe our gal could trot out her dead parent story to Suntrust and see what luck she has?

Ya'll do not get....IT DOES NOT MATTER IF SHE LIED OR NOT! SHE PAID! AND EVEN IF SHE DID NOT PAY, YOU DO NOT CRUCIFY...YOU APPLY FOR CREDIT! AND YES...in almost 5 years, I have had many "death" scenerios...DID NOT GET PAID... sent GENUINE condolances and moved on...BECAUSE it MIGHT have been true!..plus ...it is EBAY folks, NOT SUPERIOR COURT and yes, kids do mess around but MY GUT FEELING is that this SEEMINGLY ignorant Ass---- was told the truth and she is spitting in the face of grief...IF NOT, she should have been laughing all the way to the bank instead of all this character deflamation...also...rent20 said she called or had a friend call...what PROOF is that??? and why would any ebayer have a reason to call AFTER she had been paid..just to harrass? I have been called an idiot as well as others WHO DO NOT SEE THINGS HER WAY....(without even the "seems like" an idiot added to it...could be construed as slanderous)...As for bored trolls??...THAT alone should show you the character of rent20....what does PERSONAL name calling have to do with anything? Has she ever seen us..? How does she know we look like trolls or that we are anymore bored than her or him THAT WILL NOT LET THIS THEAD DIE A NATURAL DEATH?? He/She (no pun intended) APPEARS to be looking for mass confirmation to assuage her apparent low self esteem..She will not get it from from this "troll"

Rent, I personally have got a kick out of this thread; we all have deadbeats, but I believe you are correct in saying this is the ultimate "dead" beat.
I have detected a sense of humor throughout it - not only your own, but other posters as well. But some people have none, and I honestly don't know how they make it through this world from one day to the next.
I just wanted to point out one thing: If bank rules in Virginia are like they are here (Texas), you may have to eat that check yet.
If I cash a check outright at my bank, regardless of what bank it is drawn on, my bank can and will charge it back to my account if it comes back.
If it is on another bank, and I cash it at that bank, then I'm free and clear (as the drawer's bank wouldn't have cashed it for a non-depositor unless the funds were there to cover it - and they would have deducted them forthwith).
This is also probably why the manager showed no more concern than he did.
I'd hang onto the tape (if indeed you get it back) for a little while longer. Just MHO, and not trying to tell you what you should or shouldn't do.
And please excuse some of the posters on this board. You sound like a nice intelligent guy with a sense of courtesy (as well as humor) that far surpasses some on this board who are always looking to put someone else down. I don't know why; they would be much easier to bear if we understood.

Sounds like something really hit a nerve with you. Could you be this dead gal trying to defend herself here? <heh heh>. Seriously you need to adjust your meds.
I never said I had access to her bank statement. Anyone can call up a bank and ask if there are funds in a account to cover a check. And while I admit I was paid from a technical sense, it was entirely by accident and not by the sellers intent. And that check may yet come back to haunt me if the other poster is correct. I can assure you I will be filing police charges against her if in fact the check is returned NSF to my account. Sicne I didn't deposit the check into my account, then I don't see how it can come back but anything is possible. Will keep everyone posted.

Rent20 cashed it at the same bank line that it was written on, or so she stated, the funds WERE there or the teller will probably be fired as a favor to rent20..As for the humor you find in this thread...where is the humor in this rediculous saga? (Maybe Jack with his casket for sale, that tickles MY funny bone), but that is generic humor and funny, and hard not to insert (you are forgiven Jack! in this thread , it is not corpse bashing .....like rent20 is doing..but for the rest of you, gc included,.....do you find it funny to poke the eyes out of insects, too?

I have a perfectly good reason for not stating my real selling ID and thats for the simple reason that a idiot like you would then be able to figure out who my dead bidder was. You would more than likely alert her to this thread and suggest she enter negative feedback for me.
As re to your selling ID, I don't care what it is. I just assumed since you bragged about having such high feedback that you would want to back it up. Could it be that you have some negs in your feedback that might indicate you have trouble paying too? Nah, thats a crazy thought.
