I love it how a few think AW is right by not giving a choice. I run a profit and can afford to pay a bit more to not have my postings look like a scrap book. Some like the ads.

I think some should run their businesses and not be so hostile here, pretegra345.

This is an issue of customer choice for a service that is not being discussed...oh wait I see an Earthlink banner...oh sorry I'm not interested like some.

They like the profits from that but I don't like the scrap book. Looks like I might join the others that leave and turn a profit without the classless scrapbook. And you can wine about the rate increase like the new Store rates that just got imposed. You might have to pay more not because of the ads being eliminated but because of the drop off.

I'm done wining, seems like the only discussion here is with either AW people (employees)or real suckups that wear Nike T shirts and whatever logo makes them profitable. True individuality.

pretegra345, well said!

pepperbyte said I'm done wining.

Is that wining?

It sounds more like whining to me.

There are plenty of choices:

1. Don't use the service

2. Use a different service or a different method, if it's just as efficient as cost effective as AW then I'd do the same. In fact, if you know of such a service, let me know -- like I said, my concern is dollars and cents.

3. Inquire with AW if you can have the stuff removed and what the increase to your cost would be.

I'm a New Yorker -- it's in my genes to be hostile...LOL

#1. See above.

2. This is a business issue, not an issue of Pizza Hut mandating that we have a Coke if we order a Pizza. Unless the banner ads are hurting your business, there is a better & cheaper solution elsewhere, or you can prove that AW doesn't need the banner ads to make X margin on this service, it's a non-issue.

To me this is complete a business issue, are the banners hurting my business? No -- so who cares?

Sigh -- I think like a business person, anything my business has to do or spent money on, I think of it in terms of ROI, return on my investment --- if I get a good return and have the resources to make the investment, then I don't worry or whine about it...because I'm getting a return --- BUT maybe my thoughts are too corporate/business like for some folks --

Anyway, the ROI from the upsell feature is very nice, very nice indeed -- so I won't whine about the cost.

>>>I'm done wining, seems like the only discussion here is with either AW people (employees)or real suckups that wear Nike T shirts and whatever logo makes them profitable. True individuality.<<<

No the only real discussion here is a bunch quasi-entrepreneurs who would rather whine about the cost of this or that, complain that X service is too corporate, etc, instead of sitting down and analyzing the ROI of various costs, and/or the benefit of X service or that to their business......because that's the name of the game, it's not about loyalties to this company or that, communities, corporate-ness or any of that...it's about doing what needs to be done to make profits.

But maybe that's just me.

Oh and the "AW Employees and Suckups" comment is childish, don't get upset because people are countering your whining with logic and practical business sense -- Like I said earlier, show me a better solution and I'll kiss AW goodbye right here and now.

Oh, and by better I mean more effective, efficient and cheaper.
