Thank you saddamhussien for your service - I hate war too, but if this isn't taken care of now, how do you think it will affect the economy with even MORE damage and destruction than the World Trade Center being brough down. How about a nuclear bomb in New York City or Los Angeles? I bet even then people will be protesting war...

WAR? I STILL MISS MY SISTER WHO SERVED IN DESERT STORM AND NEVER WAS THE SAME SINCE. SHE HEADED UP A POSTAL UNIT NEAR WHERE THE SCUD MISSILES WERE HITTING. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT I HAD THE PRIVILEGE TO PREACH MY OWN SISTERS FUNERAL LAST SEPT. 11 SHE BECAME ILL AFTER RETURNING FROM DESERT STORM AND WAS SENT FOR ONE TEST TO ANOTHER ALL OVER THE COUNTRY ONLY TO NEVER BE TOLD WHY SHE BECAME ILL? I SUPPORT MY COUNTRY BUT I HOPE THEY CAN SUPPORT US AFTER IT IS ALL SAID AND DONE.

The argument that we are sending our minorities and poor people out to fight our wars is bull. It's true that they make up a larger part of the military than they do in the overall population, but many serve in support units instead of combat arms units. The frontline combat troops, the pilots, Green Berets, Marines, Armor, infantry, etc., are the ones whose lives will be on the line in a war and all races and social classes are properly represented in these units.

It's a good topic thanks JACK- interesting for sure A lot of good comments I just wanted to say that I think we all want PEACE and after 911 well we don't have it, I don't think war is the answer but just my opionion I will support my government and it's troops all the way, all the while I will pray for peace, I too can do both.
By the way where the heck is Bin laden!
I am also so tierd of the press, right now the war is in the press, I am so sick of there comments, it's all too darn policital, let's just have the real facts as we do NOT have them! Yes that is my government isn't it?
I don't mean to sound naive but really would like to know why can't we just send in a snipper, or create a coup? I know it sounds simple but ....
protesters are saying what we all want PEACE not to harm anyone, well I get that but do not feel it is possible, I hope those same people that protest will support our troops for doing there job when they hopefully come home safetly.

I'm convinced that bin laden, along with many of his friends, is with his 72 brown-eyed virgins. Otherwise, his mug would be on tv every week taunting us. With no major terrorist attacks against the US since 9-11, I think we're doing pretty good.
