Why should we trust a seller who "give invalid e-mail address" or "accidently remove business e-mails"? That is very unprofessional. This kind of seller is the last person online buyers should trust.
You can BS as much as you want, but you have proven wrong already....twice.
I would take my chance and go find it by myself rather than throwing my money in the air again.

Hey Paypaldamon,
It's the end of the week and as expected, there has been no information reguarding a refund as you said there would be. Come to think of it, I don't recall ever seeing a time when something ever happened like you said it would. Do you really work for Paypal or are you just a wannabe?

HI!! I was unfortunate enough to get scammed also. But last night I got a call from paypal and they said they knew it was a scam and they were putting a credit back on my credit card for the full amount. So I guess you guys should be hearing from paypal soon if you payed by them.
Good luck!!

To Joice - Moderator. I am sorry to disagree but I think what Pamd and Bubbahyde were doing on this thread were blatently wrong. I may have gotten a little carried away due to my frustration but this thread was supposed to unite people to get their money back. Not give an avenue for people to post their email adresses to sell their wares. To Pamd I do apoligize but please, if you want to sell something, take it to ebay, ubid, or wherever. Let us concentrate on getting our money back. Which by the way, I still have not received any word from paypal. I wonder if people who payed by CC are getting preferential treatment???? HMMMM.

I ordered 9 psx2's but only send payent for 2 and then there are the people that i refered to the ps2cart.com, about 12 peeps.
thanks,
Josh
I have a ups tracking # that proves that they got my money orders but I will call today to see if my money was cashed. I pray that it was not.
I am going to pick up a mail fraud form from the post office if it was cashed. I was supposed to get the psx2 yesterday. I feel like a dumb -a-

hammer1961 your apoligy is accepted and i also am sorry that it got to that but i was just trying to share a good thing to the people that got scammed the same as i did.... and getting rid of the game is no problem !!! and i called the company that issued my money order and they said to send the reciept to them along with 12.00 and they will send the top portion back to me and then i have to call them and they will send me a affidavit to fill out and send back and from there they will turn it over to their fraud dept. and that maybe i will get my money back!!!! but if the money order was altered in any way you will get your money back....so go ahead and contact the company you got it from.also you need to fil out the from on the fountainvalley.org/gametek site if you have not already done that.

Well, I can tell you one thing, PayPal isn't giving CC preferential treatment. I have tried calling several times only to be on hold for long periods of time, have emailed them, sent tham a form that they requested but the issue never gets acknowledged. I'm really upset that they haven't gotten ahold of everyone with more info on this. I'm sure they can manage a mass email but I haven't seen one lately, not since they emaild me asking me questions about it.

Thanks for the reply lpotter. I was just wondering if maybe paypal was prioritizing the payback by people who could cause them some harm ie: people who could charge back on their CC. I guess we just wait and see if and when Paypal gets to us. Also, Pamd, you sound like a pretty good person. Thansk for being understanding.

I wonder what Paypal's strategy on this, too. I still haven't heard anything back from Paypal (although number of people have gotten their money back!!).
I've filed a claim against this fraud and followed the instructions that was given on the web. All I got were 3 automated replies stating the exact same instruction, and an apology for taking so long to process.
I want to see some kind of official statement from Paypal...not a little statements paypaldamon is saying here. It looks like if Paypal is choosing who to pay the money back letting only a few parties know what is going on......

To Mogu
If anyone paid by money order, We need to form a thread or can someone send me a thread url. that way the pal pay thing won't get in the way of the money order buyers. i sent 699.98 for 2 psx2s and have a copy of the invoice and money order. This was when the investigation calls for the coppies of payment we can send them in bulk.
Thanks people

Awesome! I got my money back! Paypal hasn't wronged me yet. I sent a buyer protection claim on the 15th, got an email reply saying they couldn't reach me by phone, so they tell me to either call back or reply to the email. Today, on the 18th, all my money has been refunded.
By the way, I have a verified bank account and I originally paid by first transferring money to Paypal, then sent the money to Gametek. No credit cards involved.

How is it that most of us have not gotten our money back. The only ones who have are either new to these sites (Plants?) or people who I have a little trouble trusting their word. And of course Paypaldamon is gone again. Now we are hearing that Paypal is not even "sure they are refunding yet". Does anyone have any information, such as similar results from other sites, to try to confirm that Paypal has done and is continuing to do anything? I sent my order through Paypal back in Oct. I still have not received any word at all from them. This is beginning to smell again and everyone seems happy to sit back and trust Paypal becuase of a few possible token refunds. Is anyone over their 60 days to charge back on your credit card? The only thing that has happened to me is that Paypal has erased my entire history from my account. Good thing I still have screen shots of the transactions.

They let Ps2cart take our money with their guarantee, and they should have started honoring that when they found out no shipments had gone out as of December "15th". I keep getting emails that say pretty much "were sorry but your screwed"

Hellloooo,
I was not 'planted' here by Paypal, as Hammer suggests. I have been reading this board ever since GAmetek themselves directed me to it through one of their emails (which I thought is kind of wierd). Frankly, I thought my money was a gone for good when I read the Paypal horror stories and so I didn't bother posting any messages here. But then Gametek turned out to be a scam and when the police got involved, I thought that maybe there is a chance now to get my money back, so I did not want to be left out when that happened. I waited until December 15th to file my claim with Paypal and they have responded promptly, and I got my $334.99 back in my Paypal account with 3-4 days. They were quick in my case possibly because I have a bank account listed with them AND I did not use a credit card for this transaction with Gametek, so there is no threat of chargebacks from me, like so many of you are threatening to do. Just lay off with the threats and they'll treat you better.

Well, I haven't threatened a charge back, but I do know they are ignoring me, but your right, it's probably because I don't have an account through them. I trusted them, like gametek, and am getting just about as far with the both of them.

This is my first time posting, but I have been reading this board from the start. I payed via credit card and I filed a claim with paypal on the 13, and despite 5 e-mails, I have yet to receive a response. I called them this evening and she looked at my account and she actually asked me to send my report in again. She said that they are "dealing with them in the order that they receive them". I am getting very sick of their lack of response. I am going to continue to call and write and I will post it if anything new comes about.

Well, Paypal called me Friday at work to let me know that they'll be returning the money to my account ASAP.
Checking with PayPal's web page, it shows a transaction of -$334.99 to my credit card as "Completed". However, a quick call to my credit card, and they've yet to have any record of this transaction.
Guess I'll have to give it a few more days...

I also did not pay through a credit card and I am a verified user. I am just trying to see if there is any rhyme or reason to Paypals lack of response. I also have not been threatening anybody since I have no leverage. It has been two days with no one reporting a refund. Have things come to a halt damon? Oh wait.. you are not here anymore.

Oh Jeezus Hammer will you just shut your freakin piehole please. There are 2500 people that need to be contacted. Why should you be at the top of the list? I got my refund on Monday. I didn't call and email Paypal umpteen times to get a response. It doesn't help. I sent in my fraud form, waited several weeks and they called. They were only told to start crediting back funds on Friday and they don't work the weekends. This is only Wednesday. I for one hope you quit using Paypal so I never have to hear your voice again. You have absolutly no respect for business operations. You have done nothing but cry like a damn baby for months on this board. Enough already!

No Tutam I will not shutup until I get my money. I have total respect for business operations as that is what I do (legitimate business, not robbing "desperate parents for their spoiled kids" What paypal is doing is not legitimate business. No business would last 20 days using Paypals tactics of noncommunication and secrecy. If the ebay underworld wants to settle for this stuff, that is up to you. And as far as the whining goes, I have tried to use these threads to gather some legitmate information. In fact I was a Paypal supporter at one time. Now I have seen their true colors and will not let them get away with it. You and your ilk are the one's who use antagonistic entries to P.O. people just for fun. Last, you can count on me never using Paypal or online auctioning again. That is a promise.

Instead of blasting Paypal on this one, you should be grateful that you paid with Paypal or CC. You will all be getting your refunds long before the people who paid with money orders or checks. It might be months before the investigation releases those funds for refund.

Does anyone know if you MUST fill out a fraud report with PayPal in order to receive a refund of the money paid to GameTek? Or will they automatically credit my account?
The reason I'm asking is that, for me, it's been past the 30 day limit on filling out a fraud report and PayPal won't let me do it. So? Does anyone know what this means to me? I know we're mostly all just guessing here, but I'd like to know if anyone 'over 60 days' has already gotten a credit.

Big_B just call them and ask them what to reguarding the charge on your account from Gametek and that should clear it up.
