Yup, I tried that too. I wonder if I've got some setting in IE that is stopping me from getting in.

To answer your question, YES, I did look at AD today. It is totally just another bb chat area. The only link worthwhile was to the News and that belonged to Yahoo...It was surprising to see that they had a link to Yahoo. It won't stay there after they figure out what they did.

Like I said in another post:

"You cannot buy class, or stature.

Fortunately, it will never have the class or patrons that Auction Watch has earned".

Well, to my everlasting regret, I finally got in to AD. What a waste of time (like that really surprised me). Crossing that one off my Favorites!

I noticed that the new AuctionDiner has areas called "Moderator's Corner" and "My AuctionDiner." I'll be danged if those don't sound familiar somehow. Funny how a fellow who spends so much time knocking AW should create such a blatant ... hommage.

P.S. I was specifically told in Moderator's Corner the other day that discussion of competitive sites is not allowed. So why is this thread the exception?

Hello spazmodeus

I would have to guess that the reason this post is an exception is because after reviewing the new bidbay owned Auctiondiner, AW does not see them as a competitor. How could they?

Hey moderators and all the fine folks at AW, I know you cant confirm this, but you all have to be laughing your !@#!'s off back at AW headquarters. Auctiondiner should apporopriately change its name to AuctionGreasySpoon. They have as much chance at competing with AW as bidbay has at taking over Microsoft. ROFLMAO

I now wonder if the bidbay CEO sits in a big chair with his pinky up to his mouth like Dr. Evil. "I'm going to take over the whole internet and do it all for.......$17,000..ahh haaa haaa hahhaa.

These antics get funnier every day.

JMHO

allycatpft,

The comparison you made is totally innapropriate to these boards.

I have told you before and I will tell you again: If you have issues to take up with BidBay, then take them up with BidBay.

This forum is for discussion of Other Auction Sites.

well it must not have been too impressive as I don't even remember what I said. As I said to Pat earlier, as quoting you, as long as I don't get into "he said , I said" relaying my personal experiences here is no different than what people do when for example they have a bad experience with Paypal. I have seen threads "Paypal took all my money" etc. I really don't see the issue but since I don't remember what I said, you might try sending me an email and tell me.
MEOW pft pft!!
