There is a link on another thread stating that ebay has entered into a "points" program for people who register and also for bidding. They can redeem the points at a site for goods.
The article proposes that many of the NPBs recently are due to people just registering multiple IDs and racking up bids to get prizes.
Meg is nearing her time limit for her huge revenue projections. Does anyone remember if it was $3 or $5 billion in revenue by 2005 ? If the revenue doesn't continue to grow, neither does the stock value.

Reamond, that article is two years old and I remember it being mentioned on the board back then. Some of the links for the sites mentioned in the article for getting the points no longer seem to be valid.

Paypal is tamper proof LOL? All they need to do is charge backs. They don't care about being suspended.
72 hours you could rack up a lot of points and move on to a different account.
"A little bit of knowledge,etc..."is right.
You better check those links on that "old" article".
Ebay is back at ClicktotheMagic! Earn 400 Magic Points when you register and complete your first successful bid! Earn 10 Magic Points when you complete a Buy It Now auction.(there will not be points awarded for bidding, just completing a Buy It Now)

Hmmmm.... not to get things back on track or anything... but my bidder finally noticed his negative feedback. He sent me the following e-mail:
You have made false aligations in my feedback. I did not refuse payment, I paid you and you even got to keep the item. That was a gift buddy. I am reporting this issue to ebay.
Anyhow... I'm definately not afraid of anything he could possibly report to eBay. The negative feedback I left him was straightforward and facutal:
Horrible Bidder - Used Buy-it-now, refusedto send payment, vulgar language FF--
My response to his e-mail was:
You have been trying to dictate the terms of this auction ever since you pressed the buy-it-now button. First, you sent an e-mail stating that you would not be purchasing the item. Then, you tried to force me to take a form of payment that I do not accept. Next, you attempted to make a partial payment for the total balance due. None of this is acceptable, nor was it ever agreed to by me. When you bid on my auction, you agreed to follow MY terms. All of which are clearly disclosed in the auction description... including payment methods and shipping charges. With s/h, the total balance due for the auction you won is $4.99. Your item will be shipped when this balance is received. Any payment less than this sum received will be applied as a deposit to hold your item for up to 30 days on Layaway. If the remainder of your payment is not received by the end of this term, your deposit will be forfeit.
As for the negative feedback I have left in your account, it is 100% accurate. I have retained a copy of the e-mail you sent refusing payment. I have also retained a copy of the e-mail you sent with vulgar language. I will be more than glad to share these messages with any investigation eBay cares to conduct. In my opinion, you deserve the negative feedback for your actions in this transaction. However, there is a service for feedback removal at www.squaretrade.com. If you pay for the mediation fees, I will be open to any fair solution that will remove both our negatives. Otherwise, the negative feedback will remain in your account.
Anyway... it really isn't any big deal. The negative's already there... so I'm not at all worried about anything else this guy can do to me. I figure... hey... give him the option for SquareTrade, and maybe I'll get MY negative removed! I just have felt like this guy's been trying to push me around this whole time. And, I'm not going to let him! Just thought I'd give you all this update! Thanks again for all your comments!
