120 dollars to china.
could it be possible that these shippers dont have an extensive infrastructure in those countries to deliver the goods economically??
you figure if a package is going to a small city or town in a foreign country where there is no fed exp/ups driver or office, who do they use to deliver your package>??may be they pay a local private carrier to do so??

glassgrl: I am so sorry for your loss.

It is frustrating that time and again it has been proven that seat belts save lives, but the lesson has to be learned over and over in tragic accidents like this one.

Where did this thread go wrong? What the hell are you guys talking about? Aussie was probably an Ebay snoop or a prankster because his email is bouncing back; it's no good.

here's the original message. It looks a little screwy to me:

What was screwy there? They asked you if you be willing to sell to an international bidder and asked what the approx shipping would be.

Unless you find polite bidders with enough sense to check on shipping first to be questionable I don't get the problem,

As for the email bouncing back... what is the reason being given? There are more logical reasons that not for it to bounce (mail box full, deteected as possible spam, simple routing error...)

First of all, the email you show here is merely a buyer asking if it is alright to bid on your auction. He was not asking to buy it off eBay - that was your assumption, and a poor one at that.

Second, and MOST importantly - glassgrl's niece was killed in an auto accident yesterday, and you have the audacity to ask "Where did this thread go wrong? What the hell are you guys talking about?"???

You don't own this thread, and you don't direct what others post. We established in earlier threads you need a clue - you obviously need some compassion also.

once again folks..this is a teacher we are intrusting our children to.

go back to the first page where she starts this thread saying he wants shipping UPS.

<quote>ian ps any idea of usps cost?<unquote> (from the supposed buyer)

Is it just me or does anybody else see where they request a UPS quote? I think I see a USPS instead.

All of you...I didn't post that for sympathy or anything else although I do appreciate your condolences. It's a little hard to handle right now. I've never worn my seat belt but that will change as of now.

Remember what's important in life.

And it's not who's running for president.

21 years old.

And there's a lot of SOB's that I wouldn't feel this way about if it happened to them.

Hi all,

SalGal, as FamilyBiz said in the very first response to your question, the way you sell to Australia is:

Mosy on over to www.ups.com - it's pretty intuitive.

Just figure out the postage and let your buyer know what it will be, then send the package.

It's nice he wrote you in advance. Kinda annoying to find an international bidder after the auction closes...

I hope this link will work.

http://ircalc.usps.gov/speed.asp?Country=Australia&Pounds=1&Ounces=0&cmdSubmit=Continue&Contents=1

If it doesn't, the upshot is, you can send a package to Australia Global Priority for $9.00. I'm pretty sure your CD's would fit in the 9-1/2" x 12-1/2" Global Priority Mail - Flat-rate Envelope (large)

You might want to check the USPS website yourself and maybe bookmark it. It would save you lots of time if you could check out these things for yourself.

Lucy

hahahaha,,,also kind of annoying to find a New York bidder on a NON shipping item after the auction ends too. Sure would be Nice to see the actual U.S. location of the bidders while the aution is going also....
