Gotta love that lake effect! I hear we have a doozy of a storm coming in Sunday night. Great, just in time for the long commute to work on Monday morning!

tom and classic

You too are too much!!! Thanks for my laugh for the day.

fenix

The salon days are great! I could sure go for one myself right now! The winter dry skin is kicking into high gear. The ol' bones are beginning to feel the cold and the hair is just out of control! Hmmm, maybe I will add to my own personal list this year!

Hope I'm not to late for this discussion! One year I gave the girls on our list bath baskets - A huge, fluffy bathsheet towel, a nicely scented candle, bath salts (or bubble bath), a small box of chocolates and a magazine. Oh boy they loved it. You could throw in the day at the salon certificate too.

The same year we gave the guys ice cream sundae kits - 3 sauces I made, the banana split dishes, sprinkles, chopped nuts, and marachino cherries and put in a gift certificate to Baskin - Robbins.

My sweety gave me the auto starter for my car last year....I love it! It's wonderful not having to run outside in the cold to warm the car up. It's nice and toasty with the auto start.

Having said that....there is a national talk show radio guy...african american...forget his name. Anyway he says when he has to buy a gift for his wife he walks around the house and see what needs replaced. Is she almost out of perfume or lipstick?...what color and kind is it? He figures he'll have to buy it eventually anyway so why not buy it for Christmas...besides...it shows her your paying attention.

Cheryl - SHEA BUTTER!! There is a woman on ebay that sells 1lb tubs of pure whipped shea butter (and she will scent it for no additional charge if you wish) for $6.00 It the ultimate relief for winter skin!!

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

As cold as its been and as achy as I feel...I would almost kill for a good massage!

I love the Bath & Bodyworks Aromatherapy line....Sandlewood Rose and Jasmine Vanilla. The scents aren't too heavy and last all day.

I love the auto-starter idea. (Now how to tell Mark?..lol!) I have to go out at 5:45 am to start mine. It's a wonder I'm not frigid!

How about a Roomba. What woman wouldn't love one. Imagine having a little robot that does the vacuuming for you.
I read on Google that they do pretty good on rugs & great job on hardwood & kitchen floors.

That's what I asked for.

Tom & Ralphie's scales are also a good idea. I bought one that talks...love it.

What I'd really, really, really like is a gift certificate to get my car detailed.

Merry Christmas to everyone!

A brand new Chevy Corvette would brighten up her Christmas. A Porsche or BMW wouldn't be a bad idea either, if you can find one in her favorite color.

Stick a FLOWER-POT on yer head & SING ALONG:

Crack that whip
Give the past the slip
Step on a crack
Break your momma's back

When a problem comes along
You must whip it
Before the cream sits out too long
You must whip it
When something's going wrong
You must whip it

now whip it
into shape
shape it up
get straight
go forward
move ahead
try to detect it
it's not too late
to whip it
whip it good

When a good time turns around
You must whip it
You will never live it down
Unless you whip it
No one gets their way
Until they whip it

I say whip it
Whip it good

I love shea butter! I have extremely dry areas on my face and elbows and it works wonders. Also, a therapist at work makes a lotion that's to die for. It has almond oil in it and it also works miracles. I used the last of mine and I'm trying to get her to make more. I'll have to look the seller up. The shea butter I have now is not scented and the smell is not great.

To tomwiii and classic

We have a place here the both of you would probably feel quite at home in. They sell all kinds of whips, chains and other beat me silly items. There are some contraptions I don't even want to know what they're for. It's actually a funny place to visit. However, you must take a shy and reserved person with you. The look on their face when they walk in is priceless. Someone did this to me as a joke. This store is unmarked outside so unless you know where it is and what it is, you'd pass it right by. My first trip there was a shocker.

You two are really, really, really bad boys. Coal in your stockings.
