lots of great gifts, new VHS player to go with my new DVD player, Hamilton Beach Brew Station, gift cards, etc.
but my best gift was;
my granddaughters apartment complex had a power outage due to the ice storm so she and hubby and my 10 month old great grandson spent 36 hours with us. I got to play with him until I was ready for him to go home. the most fun I have had in years! he is now positive I am the best great grandma ever!

Meomix, Congratulations! I will be married 38 years (to the same man) in June. We were work place/lunch time friends for 4 years before he made any move. I really think the friendship was one of the things that has kept us together for so long.
I got lots of neat stuff from my sister, AKA The Thrift Store Queen and several nice things from my husband. One of his gifts is a new George Foreman grill. I read that there was a new model that had removable grill surfaces. That has been my only complaint about the little grill I have. It was awkward to clean because it can't be put under water. Little did I know that the new model is about 3 times the size of the one I have. This required major changes in the configuration of the counter top to even find a spot where I could open it. A bonus is that he has agreed to start tomorrow on the shelves for my cobalt glass collection which is being evicted from its place on the counter. Since I have been asking for the new shelves in the window (should be beautiful when the sun comes in through the cobalt) for a long time this makes the grill doubly welcome! -----o----o----o----o----o----o----o----o
