I print and pay postage through paypal. Usually my post office does scan everything I leave on the counter. My sisters post office does not scan anything. This is a rare case for me that even when it was delivered it was not scanned. I like to just walk in and dump my stuff on the counter without having to wait in line! I really do believe this package was there on time and she has probably gotten her money back from other sellers because of the tracking not showing delivered. I blocked her from my list as I do not deal well with multiple threatening emails when I did everything right. I think I will choose to not leave her feedback at all as I cannot feel she deserves positive no matter what time of year it is.

Like itray, I print my labels through PayPal on line. The DC costs me zero & I have a print out of the tracking number. <y last priority mail took 6 days to go from CA to Indiana. Never had a gripe about it as I had sent an email to the buyer stating the date of shipment.

postcardman when you make you label it says something to the effect that you have created a label with eDC to be ready for mailing then the day or date. It also says the same thing when they do it at the post office. What you do have if they scan it at the PO is the receipt with the eDC # and that should be proof enough that you mailed it. It usually doesn't say anything until the PO you are mailing to scans it there as received, then the next entry is when it is delivered. What I do is never tell my buyer that there is eDC on the package. I know that is deceptive but it gives me the leverage that if they said they didn't receive it I have proof that they did. It tells you what buyers are honest and which ones aren't.

BTW. If you use shipping assistant you can also send your buyer a copy of the eDC just like in paypal. Just look for the email box.

Can't the buyer tell by looking at the package that there is a tracking # on the package? I know it doesn't have the green background but I thought there was some indication; otherwise, how would the mail carrier know to scan it?

I have watched them scan my packages in, charge me for the DC and it STILL not show anything online other than the "The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper or
shipping partner on...."

I get so tired of being accused of not really mailing a package because this is all it says until it is delivered.

TnErnie - I have had a few every now and then that have asked me if I was sure I mailed their package, so I know how you feel

I get all the "receipts" from the USPS Shipping Asst postmarked at the PO; and when I get one of those buyers whose DC status isn't showing and ask if I really did mail their package, I scan the receipt and email it to them. That usually appeases them.
