hmm, list your machine gun under appliances and your toaster under guns and it will all even out in the washing machine...
Seriously, list your toaster in >kitchen>small appliances. After it posts, go in and try to edit it to get it into the correct category. Hope it works for you!

BTW, it is probably a new ebay "feature".
Dear seller,
To give your items broader exposure, we will no longer allow items to be listed in the toaster category. By listing in the small appliance category, your buyers will be able to find a full range of small kitchen appliances without the annoyance of clicking on all those little sub categories.

Wow JAck, Ebay REALLY hates toasters!
I just tried to start a toaster auction...
From ebay Sellers tab, > pick auction type> auction
pick category> type in toaster in the search ,0 categories found. OK no problem, click on the little blue link for categories and POOF, it blows my browser page away.
I couldn't believe it, so I tried it again. Poof! Ebay HATES toasters!

It's a new feature they're testing. Five minutes before FLD starts, they will remove all categories so no one can list anything. That way they can still have free listing day, but they won't lose any insertion fees.

Jack, are you listing directly through Ebay? I just went through Vendio, as I always do, and got into that category with no problem.

Road, Happy Holidays!
Now! back to BIZ, BaH HumBug!
The Only benefit derived from vendio/aw. was the LAUNCH feature..Once I realized HOW important timing was I found vendio to LAUNCH my auctions, Finally, when E bay got SMART and ADDED that feature, Curtains for vendio......I see no need to use their services. Launch was the ONLY feature that benefitted me.

Jack: Do you just use one photo with your auctions? I use between 2 and 7, depending on the complexity of the item, and that's the main reason I'm still with Vendio (besides the ease of listing and the very readable lists of my current, pending, and closed auctions all in one place). It's 15 cents a photo now, right, through Ebay? Or am I off base?
