At an art show we did a year ago, an older gentleman took old photos and superimposed photos of the heads of animals over the human heads. These he put on notecards and greeting cards (blank inside). One of my favorites shows a group of gentlemen (bulldogs, hounds, etc.) in a bar holding mugs of beer and singing.

Neglus I picked up a titanic book today and while thumbing through it there was the picture that was on the postcard you sold. It was the same exact picture only the book one was smaller. There was also another one of the ship in the same boat holder but it was completed.
Quite an interesting book as it had all the items that were on the ship. When the ship left port it had 75,000 pounds of meat. It had how many aprons, 15,000. and the amount of each dish in a place setting. Since we have a titanic survivor well 3 of them in our ansestors I don't know if I am going to sell the book.

Libra - wow! 2 Titanic survivors in the family! I don't blame you for hanging on to the book - I have become a Titanic "fan" after selling that card and another one early in my ebay career (the first one still holds the record for my highest priced card and it didn't even picture the Titanic!).
I know if we had postcards or pictures of my grandparents from this era we wouldn't let them go!! It's too bad someone didn't write the name on the back. Ebay works miracles in getting some of these treasures back to the families.

Our old family photo albums have many pictures of children dressed like the ones shown in this thread (but without the hats!). Many little boys didn't get a haircut until they were 6 years old, and the clothing was the same for boys and girls. Sometimes I think it may have been partly to facilitate diaper changing; dresses are much easier to work with under those circumstances.
