my best "score" this month was from an auction house (since Ohio is too cold wet to have garage sales yet) ... bought a porcelain figure for $10 and it sold last Friday for bidding war of $372.50 ... man, THAT hasn't happened in maybe 5 years!

I don't think I could go wrong calling it Eames. I know that is sooo over used but if the shoe fits..........sell it on Ebay.
Glasslady - winner of unusual pieces are willing to pay high shipping. Besides this is not that heavy. I think I can ship it anywhere in the lower 48 for less than $200. I'm not sure I will sell it on Ebay - it may have to go to real auction???

ok, 23 hours up, 6 days 1 hour to go. There have been around 300 hits, there are 44 watchers, and 3 bids up to $280. I've spoken to a local person who is interested who "decided" not to bid because it was going to go too high. I told him to bid his highest amount. he may get lucky, either way, it helps me. I am meeting him tomorrow night for coffee and so he can see it in person. BTW, I turned down a SOOEB at $475 or whatever I thought was fair...

Dejapooh, nice find!
Lady, I'd have to list your table as a "Vintage Grand-Serve Boomerang Bar Coffee Table" in the auction title. That table is just too Kool! I googled everything I could think of and could not find it, but it will do well. Keep us posted if you list it.

It was ah not am.
Looks like they made them originally for the World's Fair but also made them up to 1972 and sold them at American Furniture Mart.
I don't think that makes this a reproduction.
Can I do the happy dance now?????

Just a thought - maybe the gold trim ( as opposed to the silver trim longtime wrote about) was special for the World's Fair edition??? Maybe the company would know - might be worth a call anyway.

I have emailed them and they are mailing me brochures with this piece in it. Plus I sent photos to them.
There is a guy that still works there that was there when they started making these who is going to look at mine and see if he can help date it.
I'm make headway but it's slow.

Hey, Auction ended at 10 pm last night (at $625.00 with about 5 increases in the last 90 seconds). The winner was a guy who met me near my house to look at the bass. He met me at work and paid in cash. WOO HOO.

WTG!
Thanks for updating us - I'd looked at your auction several times but didn't see what it ended at.
Now you can hit the streets again Saturday!
