Well, didn't you all want eBay to do something for buyers???
I'd rather have them stimulate that side on the Bay than have everyone dump 2,000 listings for cell phone covers, greeting cards, tired unsold items, etc. (trust no one here takes offense -- just an example) and clutter up the site worse than it is now.

estatesale,
well, i forgot to use the "celebrate" code when i bought a slightly more expensive item the day before yesterday. i used it this morning on some stuff i bought for resale and i saved GASP! a whole...$0.61. i suppose i shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth...it was stuff from regular auctions so yes, it works that way.
when you get to PayPal and enter the code, if you don't press the little button to the right that says something about "redeem code," PayPal will barf and you'll be prompted to redo it.

I wonder if Meg would loan me $10.00 so I can buy something.

This is really leaving a bad impression of what ebay thinks of their sellers!!! I think it is going to hurt ebay much more than they know in the long run. Why are they being so cheap.

I just tried to use the 10% off code and it doesn't work! I get "This Redemption Code has expired and can no longer be used."
Oh well, I was only going to save a lousy quarter.

I couldn't get Meg to let me have a $10.00 credit so I'd didn't buy anything. I'm saving my money for hard times.

What in the hell are they trying to prove with all these worthless promotions that only appease small segments of the selling community? They need to fire the SOB with the new MBA in marketing that is dreaming up these schemes. If they want to show their appreciation to the sellers who put Ebay where it is today, then let Meg step forward and announce an old fashiond, no holds barred, free listing day that applies equally to every single registered Ebay seller. Now I'll climb down off my milk crate. Gotta clean it up and get ready to list it on the next FLD.

The page that lists the promo details said it ends at 12 am on the 28th. I tried using the code at 5 pm on the 27th.

Well international eBayers didn't get any "celebrate" code, but they did get some recent discount listing days. We made out okay on the recent UK 5p listing day and had 100% sell through rate. Mind you we started every item at 99p and sold them for around 50% profit after fees so it was a good promomotion.
