I liked my link better than misleading title. If you go to CONTACT US - then to LISTING POLICY VIOLATION - then to FRAUDULENT LISTING - then to the last box - REPORT A LISTING YOU THINK IS FRAUDULENT(you didn't bid)
then on the next page you get a box for the item number and also a box you can tell WHY the listing is fraudulent. It worked well night before last.

Ed: or is it tightie whities? I don't think I have ever seen it written. LOL

Ummm, that would be me as high bidder (mewantanxbox). I was reading Glassgrl's comments last night and thought I would also join in the fun. The scumbag, I mean seller, has already emailed me TWICE in the last hour with this statement:
"I am e-mailing you to make sure that you are going to pay for this item. If you do not pay, you will be punished to the full extent of the law. If you are a fraudulant bidder, please let me know as this is a very serious issue."
What an ass.
Apparently I'm high bidder now. I HOPE the person I bid against is also playing the game and was not actually going to pay that kind of money.
I've already had 2 emails from people telling me it's a picture. Very nice.
I hesitated to reveal this here as I don't want to be NARU'd by eBay in case they read this. But I do want to assure people that there's no way in HELL I'm going to pay for these fraudulent auctions.

Somehow I had a feeling that "mewantanxbox" was more than a newbie about to be duped by a scammer. Way to go Dixielou. One more crook gone so the honest sellers have a chance to make a profit.

Thanks people!
Maybe Meg has had a good chuckle reading all this? I emailed her the link this morning and told her I was tired of Ebay letting these people take money for pictures instead of Xboxes.
If you could of seen my DH face last night when I told him I bid $1,000 on an Xbox
I was really surprised this morning when I fired off that letter to Meg and it was read about 5 minutes later (return receipt requested)
Happy weekend!
Someone else will have to be on patrol - I don't have much computer access.
Just put in Xbox 360 picture -receipt BIN newest listed. They're alway usually for $500-$600 and they never have a regular snapped photo for the preview. Then look and see how many feedback they have.

Here's the reply the aforementioned seller wrote me prior to eBay canceling the auction( "No it won't" refers to my assurance that the auction would be canceled):
"No it won't. It's in the correct category, so there is no reason for this to be canceled. I have the right to sell a picture that I took. It is not my fault that people didn't read the auction carefully, because the first thing I said was READ THIS CAREFULLY. I am doing a perfectly legal thing, and there is no reason to cancel this auction."
He/she is now NARU'd.
You know, when I did the interviews re GreenZap, I was astounded by the tenaciousness of the anti-Zappers in rooting out that fraud.
So much so that I dubbed them Web Rangers.
Well, it's obvious that we have no less tenacious Web Rangers on this board.
Congratulations!
Best,
Michael

well I didn't see any this morning
looks like maybe somebody is doing their job?
I see the UK auction seller got NARU also - angel14051974 and a couple of nice new feedbacks so that she suddenly went private? I'm glad that the buyer wasn't out their money.
hmmm small-town-friend and his $600.00 wholesale list didn't get NARU though, just his auctions zapped.
Wasn't it FUNNY how nasty the fraud sellers would get - YOU BETTER PAY OR I'LL REPORT YOU - OR YOU BETTER BE A SERIOUS BIDDER.

You are only getting a box and it isn't even the one the Xbox 360 comes in. It is a small cardboard box that I have written the words "Xbox 360 Premium System" on. What you are getting looks nothing like the pictures. You are not getting anything that is pictured.
oh that's handy...he's also has a Land Rover for sale...."feel free to contact me at 786-253-2099"

Great idea Jack. Ask him if he'll ship it to Canada via surface mail and get it there before Christmas. Also, ask if he'll mark the custom forms as a gift with a value of $20.00. Be sure and let him know you'll be sending a Canadian Postal money order payable in Canadian dollars.

You are bidding on an XBOX 360 box. Would make a great gift to any gamer. The box is brand new, and in excellent condition. Can you imagine the look on someone's face, when they open their christmas present to find this? The box looks nothing like the picture below, infact I just made the box myself. YOU ARE NOT BIDDING ON THE OFFICIAL XBOX 360 BOX, I CANNOT BE MORE CLEAR. However you will be recieving this awesome homemade XBOX 360 box! I have this item in hand, and will ship out once I recieve payment. Very hard to find this holiday season!
I accept Paypal, and item is sold as-is. No refunds. I will ship out within 24 hours upoun payment recieved. I will not retract bids, serious bidders only!
Good luck and happy bidding!
(I see the other auction is still running also - Meg honey? Where are U?)
