Dry sense of humour????Now would THAT be, she asks....

I think Mars was all aligned and ready to make his move on Venus, when Jupiter entered the arena...

And NO...krs is NOT stalking other people...He spends all day with a blow dryer in his hand, drying out his sense of humour...(wink, wink, cluck, cluck, tsk, tsk...)

meya-i am very surprised that you would make an accusatory comment in this particular thread simply because i directed someone to the mod's board where there has been a tremendous amount of fighting lately. i am quite sure that you were not joking. i thought this might be a productive thread, so i am sorry you had to ruin the tone with the exact attitude i was questioning. MODERATORS PLEASE CLOSE THE THREAD. P.S.-meya, you can now start your own thread about how people are too sensitive.

People, People who need people, are the
luckiest people in the world.

Without "PEEPLE" where would we beee???
Without "PEEPS" where would Barry Barris
be??

Lighten up folks, these are just words!

Sticks and stones may break my bones but
KRS is really pithy.

Stusi - I guess I got here just after the great gun purge at Ebay. Place was filled with deep anger.

Then there was the great June crash - people could not get into Ebay to scream at them - so they came over here and savaged each other for - sheesh - hours.

Point Being - It has been far uglier.

That being said - The themes at least in the round table seem to be about normal to me. There is a political emphasis right now that people are always going to have great passion about. Nothing wrong with that - although the political bitterness can seem to spill over between some posters.

There has always seemed to be an element on occasion of "if you don't agree with me - you are wrong - will burn in everlasting flames" - whatever.

More than usual? - I don't think so. On occasion, mean and hateful - Sadly yes. But, mostly I think a really great group of colorful and passionate people - The thread on the death of a poster's cat and the effort to bring some comfort to them was enough to restore your faith in people.

Even KRS has mellowed - 6 months ago, his post above would have consisted of bolded rather than capitalized words.

Just read the locked astrology thread, so couldn't post this in that thread:

HJW, don't forget to apply for non-profit status for the church,oh, and can I be a minister of the new religion?

Enchanted,

Certainly, you can be a minister! Anybody who
believes anything is considered a religion.

Therefore, anybody qualifies.

You can be a saint, a hindu, a baptist,
a catholic, a jew...just anything.

We just have to file our proposals and stand
in line.

Stusi,

Sorry that I got the thread off track.

Etiquett on the Internet is a serious problem and I could use a lot of instruction.

Rather than close the thread, I was wondering
about the possibility of gathering suggestions on what really irritates posters
so that we may improve our communication.
Maybe we could start a list of tips along
that line?

Helen
