Here's a rare sight (around here anyway) ... an owl perched in my walnut tree out back. It was awesome.

Yes it does look like a hawk. Most owl's are roosting during the day and go out hunting during the evening. Still nice to see. I have a nest of sparrow hawks that live on my property and at night we are overrun with owl's. Boy the great horned owl's can sure make a racket. Luckily for me I do most of my sleeping during daylight hours.
