and the list goes on.

Yea I just passed up quite a few buy I was going to make because the sellers didn't take paydirect (which I don't understand). They did take paypal but since I don't use them anymore with all the crap they have been pulling I just pass the ones that don't have the Paydirect logo. I am trying to rebuild my music collection. The record player broke and I have decided to replace the records I could with CDs. Some sellers lost money tonight because I just went to sellers that were using Paydirect on Yahoo.

Well people are signing up and using it, but I hear a fair amount of whining.
I have considerable fb on Yahoo so I quit linking my ebay feedback in my auctions. At least 1/2 the new buyers seem to think I was born on Yahoo and have never left town. They feel compelled to name drop "Ebay" and "Paypal" as if I have never heard of them, LOL! "It's not like Ebay/Paypal..." That sort of thing.
It is kind of like they are buying on Yahoo for the first or possibly the second time and signing up for Paydirect with half a heart. Not that I don't understand that it is hard to show up on Yahoo with a (NEW) label when you have a slew of feedback on ebay.
I just let whatever they say go. What difference does it make anyway? I have the sale, they have their stuff and if someone buys on Yahoo once and it is nearly a given that they will do so again.
Signed up for Paydirect?
Then that goes triple.
They be coming over, whether they know it yet or not.

VeryModern,
"Oh - and I would like to have granee's common sense..."
MANY THANKS for the compliment!!!!!! I'm left-handed, and I've spent my entire marriage (going on 29 years, since I was a "child bride" being told by a right-hander that I'm illogical and do everything "backwards" (serves him right that ALL 3 of our children are left-handed, too!!!!!).
Yahoo seems to have gotten the bugs out of PayDirect (now that I'm trying to get people to pay with ExchangePath so I'll get those referral bonuses!).
If Yahoo will just put the listings back in ending order again (and fix the CATEGORIES while they're at it), I'll be rolling again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After I wrote that (in about 2 seconds) I wished I's have written "common sense and integrity" and so now I have.
(From now until the end of time I will picture you married to Mr. Spock btw.)

LOL! That is pretty impressive! Good job Granee! Also ROTFLMAO at the mental image I have in my head of "Granee" & "Mr. Spock" which as you can probably imagine is really something. (OT- have you guys ever made "net friends" and then met them face to face later? I have. It was INTERESTING to say the least!)
*Blushing at the compliment, VeryModern.* Shucks!
Traceyg- I know what you mean, I too pass on many non-paydirect auctions now because when I have a balance it burns a hole in my pocket!
I've been using PayDirect in my Ebay auctions with some success. Today I "converted" a fellow Ebay seller who won one of my auctions. She said that as long as she invested the time in signing up, she'd use it as an option in her auctions too.

Paydirect has address verification now, other new features
Read new notice - you can see it when you sign on.
~~~~~
What's new on Yahoo! PayDirect?
Features
Verified Address Notification - You can verify the address of your Senders or Recipients through PayDirect.
If you use PayDirect's verified address notification in connection with a Payment or Request for Money and the
Sender or Recipient has a verified address through PayDirect, the Sender or Recipient will have the option to
disclose or confirm their verified PayDirect Account address to you. The address of record for a PayDirect
Account will be treated as "verified" if Yahoo! and the Bank have received a response to physical mail sent to
that address. Please understand, however, that neither Yahoo! nor the Bank make any guaranty, warranty or
other promise regarding the identity or address of any PayDirect user. Even a "verified" address may be
fraudulent or used for fraudulent purposes. If you accept a verified address notification request made to you
through the PayDirect address verification service, we may disclose your PayDirect Account address to the
person making the request.
Get a printable verion of the revised Yahoo! PayDirect Terms of Service or the Privacy Practices for Yahoo!
PayDirect.
Online bank account verification - we've eliminated the requirement to mail us an ACH Consent form and a
voided check. Now when you set up a bank account you can verify it online!
Email address hot list - keeps track of the last 100 email addresses you used for quick access.
My Yahoo! PayDirect module - Click to preview and add PayDirect to your My Yahoo!.
Transaction download - download your transactions in tab delimited format and import them into a
spreadsheet.
Accept or pay multiple transactions with one click - now when you have multiple transactions to pay or
I have the one that traceyg made in my Ebay ads. It doesn't actually have the word Yahoo on it, just PayDirect and as far as I have been told here on the AW boards, Ebay considers it the same as any other payment method as long as you don't link to the actual auctions.
Is anyone still on the fence about this?
Buyer's are signing up in droves. I am now literally getting more Paydirect payments than I ever did Paypal.
Was 45% paypal, now 80% paydirect.
I am surprised!
Looks like YAHOOOOS are YAHOOOOS and they plan on staying YAHOOOOS
Every third person complains of trouble of some sort, but I wind up paid so I guess they've made a decision to sign on and they persevere and that is that.
This bodes very well for Yahoo, I have stopped worrying about Christmas sales.
