Can you use yahoo! Pay Direct for other auction sites as well as your yahoo auctions?

I am looking for an alternative to Paypal and was wondering if this would work.

yes, and I was advised several days ago that they would have an ebay friendly link in the "near future".

I got paid through PAyDirect for THREE of my Ebay auctions today, & it was cake! I did refer the customers to PayDirect- they wanted to pay by PAyPal & I don't take PAyPal.

An Ebay-friendly PayDirect link would be great, not that I plan to sell much more on Ebay. I'm pretty much Ebay'ed out. Yahoo is working much better for me. BUT the link would be good to have just in case.

I have replaced my PayPal links with PayPlace and want to add Pay Direct to auctions outside Yahoo. How did you guys do this? Did you put the html link into your auction, in your EOA's or both? Isn't the html link that's generated for Pay Direct by Yahoo, just for the invoice, and is that the link I would use? I just am not sure if that invoice link works on any other site, or if that is an appropriate link for other sites.

I am still accepting payments from my users that want to use PayPal, but will probably stop after 10/1. I did update to the Premium account last month in anticipation of being able to accept International payments, but now I feel not only betrayed by them adding a new fee, but I don't trust them anymore. They've already shown that they will and do change whatever they want whenever they want, just like someone else I know, who's site I don't bother with much anymore!

ladyjane, I just write in text that I accept paydirect in my ebay auctions. They do not have a link yet, but I was told via email support that they would in the near future.

VM....Thanks! That's what I will do with my new auctions. I've already taken the PayPal links out of my templates and replaced them with PayPlace.

Also, FYI...check out EnergyFlow for your International customers...much cheaper than BidPay and the customer service is fantastic. FDIC approved and BBB member!

ladyjane- is that www.energyflow.com? will definitely check it out! cool , thanks for the tip!

Everyone, if you haven't already, please read traceyg's PayDirect thread- she made some handy links, one of which is Ebay-friendly. Very very very cool of her.

The auctions I have running now state that I will accept PayDirect, but I don't have a link. I've been including the URL in my EOA's but again, no link. If I list on Ebay again I will include the link. However, undecided about whether to list on Ebay anymore. That is another story though.

ladyjane I was looking at energyflow this morning and I couldn't tell if I could only SEND international MO, or if people outside of the US can send me MO's. Do you know? Experience?

labbie1...YES...International customers may use this service...anyone can. I can't post the link here, but if you go to their homepage and then look for the payment tab, you will see all the information and pricing. Also, on the sign up page, there is a list of countries in the form.

There are many ways to pay using this service...including your PayPal account....LOL

and FYI with Bidpay, you do not even need to sign up. You only need to allow people to use - you get your MO whether you are signed up or not, and it is all guaranteed.

Bidpay is the best way (safest and cheapest/FREE for the seller, and fastest for the buyer) to receive an int'l payment there is. I have not joined, but list them as an option in my auctions for in'tl buyers and since, every single in'tl sale has been paid through them. Total class act.

Hmmmm, I wonder if they have upgraded to a business account?

"and FYI with Bidpay, you do not even need to sign up."

The advantage to signing up with bidpay, as a seller, is that it ensures that you money orders are mailed to the correct address even if the buyer mistypes it.
