Has anyone run out of auctions for the month?

Wondering this.

Nope. It seems that bulk loaded relists do not subtract from the total allowed. Only each new upload subtracts.

Nope. And I've been throwing them relists up there with 2 relists as usual. I've still got over 900 left.

Weird, eh? LOL!!

I still have 925 for the month *L* BUT, I've been stretching with no automatic relists for now. PLUS, used up as many relists as possible before the changeover this month.

There is a bug in the Bulk loader software. You used to be limited to 2900 auctions before the new rules, but that count was the SUM of both your current auctions and the auctions on your personal CLOSED AUCTIONS page.

If say you had 1500 active auctions and there were 1300 on your closed auctions page and you tried to load 300 more auctions that would generate an error and you would have to delete 200 from your closed auctions page to be able to load the new 300.

With the new rules there just has to be a bug here. Right now I have 1224 current auctions and I am allowed 1268 more this month. But if I try to use the bulk loader for more auctions I get an error that "you have 1224 current auctions and the maximum # allowed is xxxx." where xxxx is the SUM of my current allowable auctions and the auctions on my closed auctions page.

So you see I only can bulk load 44 more even though I'm allowed 1268 more. And that is only because I deleted my entire closed auctions pages. So I must keep my own records carefully and cannot resubmit an auction which had a winner if I have another identical item to sell (without cancelling out a true winner and generating an email to them to that effect from the auction page....very messy).

This is certainly a bug because it get's worse. A friend who is just starting out with 1000 auctions loaded 550 and when he tried to do more was told, "you have 550 auctions. The maximum allowed is 450." He had nothing on his closed auctions page having deleted them all. Notice the 450 # is 1000 minus 550, his current # of auctions, plus 0, the auctions on his Closed auctions page.

And just one more thing: When I said I deleted all my Closed Auctions pages, I really deleted all I could, but there are about 25 old auctions from last february that will not go away. I've been trying to delete them for 6 months but they have more lives than a cat.

Just one more reason why Yahoo is the most accurately named company I have ever been involved with.

I have about 700 left. I haven't been doing any autorelists and I did as many relists as I could before Sept.1. I could run out in the couple days of the month. They are lasting longer then I thought they would!

Im not even close at frist I noticed that when I sent them to auto relist 2x the counter would drop buy three but the past week when I use auto resumbit I only drop by one.

I had 117 auxtions running and I now have resumbmted all of these with 2 auto resubmits and added a lot more I am still at 845 left.

the thing I am noticeing though is that veiws are down way down from 12 to 30 veiws per auction a week to none on many and 1 or 2 veiws on the rest not only resubmited auctions but new ones as well.

and as the last 7 days has went by I noticed bidding is off over all on yahoo in all catagories even computers and software.

I check one computer sub category that is usually sold out all the time and found 600 items listed and only 18 of then with bids.

I still have hope things will get better there but I think yahoo will have to find a different way the verfiying bidders credit cards for it to happen.

in the mean time I have started moveing my sure sale Items over to ebay and started listing on auctionweser which is like newer then new has less then 500 listings righ now but I have enough inventory so I listed some ther in hopes people pick up on the free listing there maybe the Items will pick up and sales will happen there.

Have 390 left, but lost my AMPro. Now I'm struggling to learn Yahoo Bulkloader. When I try to upload, it tells me that I'm only allowed to have 390 auctions generated by bulkloader, and since I already have over 400 running right now, I can't upload any more. This is the first I heard about this. What other bulkloaders are out there that work with Yahoo? The yahoo one is too tough to figure out. For some reason there is not enough room in the description field. It keeps telling me in the spreadsheet that there is not enough room for the information. Is somebody using yahoo bulk loader, or a different one? Please contact me at [email protected] to share some tips. Thanks. Heike

Try counting up 5 messages from your in this same thread to learn about the (fairly new)bulk loader bug.

I sent the Yahoobots a bug report last Friday and it said they would contact me in 24-36 hours. (laughter) What's the over-under on when they will fix this? How about on when they will answer my bug report?

Hits are way down. Sales are way down.
Don't know if it is CC verification or the new listing method.

Who cares about a CC, if they pay they pay
If they don't they don't. I have good customers who are set against CC. I understand this.

We need an adult verification and verification of emotional health. You should see some of the replies I get when I low rate a non payer.

Nope---but, most importantly- I think it's time we all understand the MOTIVE behind all this. I have enough record keeping to do as it is--- and now the insult of being told that I'm on a point system. OK, I'll stay up late tonight til I get it all figgered out - and maybe find I only can list 2 auctions on Wednesdays, if I have one blue eye and one green and my mother's maiden name is Rockefeller.

What- do they think they are competing against IWON.COM?? I have enjoyed using Yahoo - cuz it's so easy to list---but they will soon take care of that too.

My prediction is that iwon.com will soon have free auctions......wanna bet?? Toodle-oo Yahoo if that happens. Iwon software is impeccable - Yahoo are you listening??

Haven't run out of auctions - and with the Credit Card requirement, our deadbeats have fallen off dramatically. Sales have been good, and closing much faster since most folks are paying with credit cards. I for one am pleased.

I thought that the CC requirement would really hurt our sales but it hasn't and at least for us it has cut down on deadbeats, and brought in more credit card folks, which is great to me.

I have noticed that we are selling more high priced items, and less of our low end items, but that may relate to the credit card requirement also.

I'm quite pleased with the system!
